Q: Some scales will tell you the same weight after you re-weigh yourself if both numbers are close. Does this scale recalculate weight each time?

Unfortunately, it uses the same weight after you weigh, unless it changes a certain amount, like maybe 1/2 lb, so I am not happy watching for daily weight changes of .1-.2 lbs. while the scale reads in .1 lbs, it lacks repeatability (if you hold a pound weight to reset, and then set the weight down to reweigh). and lacks agreement with other digital scales. It reminds me of the VW emissions scandal. Pretends to be accurate.

Q: How to let the scale read in pounds?

Q: Why does it beep sometimes when it gives the weight with the green check? It doesn't do it all the time just every once in a while

It beeps when the weight changes between the yellow and green light. It changes because internal sensors adjusting for uneven floor/ inaccurate measurement.
