I really loved this when it arrived! Super jingly and noisy. But, the metal has started smelling SO WEIRD. I've been trying to figure out the sweet, metallic, kind of nauseating smell for the last couple of weeks, and just realized that it's the metal on the scarf. I'm a metalsmith, and I have NO idea what is making it smell like this, but into the trash it goes.

I just received this item yesterday. It is pretty, but ugh..the smell! When I opened the package, I noticed that the scarf smells terribly! I'm not sure if it is the 'coins' or the actual fabric, but unless I can figure out a way to get rid of the smell, this will be going back!UPDATE: I wound up keeping this because I found it pretty. Many months later, it no longer smells, so the smell does wear off eventually. I hung it outside in the sun for a couple of days. That helped tremendously.

Looks just like the picture. I am a bigger women size 16-18 jean's so I wasn't expecting it to even tie but figured for the price I could add some fabric to make it work. To my surprise it ties around me but the gold coins only cover half way around but that's ok with me. I will order different colors for the renaissance festival's I attend.I really love the way it looks.

Just as described. It has a very nice shimmy sound when you move. The problem is that the next day I used it some beads started to fall. I noticed the ends were unrevealing. I had to sew them for extra support to stop the problem. Some stitching is also coming loose from other places, so I will have to continue sewing to reinforce stitchings. But I bought it to practice my belly dance routines and this hip scarf does the job. My recommendation is to have the manufacturer double stitch the ends even if the price point goes up. Personally, I don't mind paying more in exchange of a well made product.

I was looking forward to getting this item, it came in today and it was packaged good and all the beads and everything were attached well, the beads themselves are not not heavy, they are plastic which I guess is fine for the price but what really put me off is the INTENSE chemical smell that is so so so strong!! I’ve washed my hands twice now and I can still smell it and I think it’s on my clothes as well since I wore it for a few minutes. The smell alone is over powering and I’m airing it out right now and have sprayed it with perfume so fingers crossed that it helps.Edit: 30 minutes later I’ve had to change my clothes because the smell is not going away, i’ll have to wash everything. This is disgusting!! Do not purchase, if you do then you just have to deal with it.

I am a professional belly dancer and bought this for my friend that just started taking lessons. I wasn't expecting such quality! I ended up buying one for myself! My go-to shimmy belt cost around $100 and has since retired! I prefer this one over it!! It is absolutely beautiful and the movement and music it creates is breathtaking. I strongly encourags ALL belly dancers new and advanced to purchase this belt. I bought mine in purple - it is stunning <3

This is amazing! I was surprised that it was made of velour cloth, as I thought it was plain cotton! It is very pretty and will work well for a party I will attend next month. Very happy with this!

I am in love! The quality is wonderful for the price. The color is rich. I would definitely but another in a different color. I am a plus sized woman and I can get it tied around my waist.
