Great bags, better customer service.
We purchased two FlightJoy travel bags to carry one large and one medium sized car seat. The bags are very roomy and easily accommodated each seat. The customer service was outstanding. They sent follow up emails inquiries about our satisfaction with the products about a week or two after we received the bags. After the first flight, a seam on one of the bags started to unravel... it came apart for a gap of about 7 inches. No further unraveling occurred on the second (overseas) leg of the journey. No harm was done to any of the car seats. I sent photos of the offending seam to the company and within an hour, they responded by sending us a replacement and sending an inquiry to the manufacturing plant. The problem with the seam appears to be a 'one off' issue.Bottom line: the bags are great and the customer service is even better.Additional pluses: the bags are large enough to carry additional items (if you wanted to take advantage of packing more in these bags that are exempt from baggage handling fees). There is one very slight and easily remedied negative: The sliding plastic closure of the bag can creep open with the load of a car seat inside. We simply cinched it down as tight as we could and secured it with a slip knot... and easy and secure fix.Great product. I recommend it without reservation.

Shoulder Straps Make Gate Check Super Easy!
I bought this bag for a recent cross-country trip I was taking on my own with my 4 year old. We had a similar cheaper bag that was ripping along the seams so I knew I needed a replacement. I saw this one and loved the idea of having should straps. I was tired of dragging our old bag through the gate area and down the jetway. Our car seat is a Britax Boulevard 70 which is a great car seat but quite heavy. I have a rolling cart for it that I use to get the car seat and my daughter (strapped into it) through the airport but once at the gate I have to pack the seat up for gate check. This bag fits our car seat and the folded up rolling car perfectly. Once I have it bagged up I can put it up on one of the waiting area seats and slide my arms into the straps. The padded section of the straps keep it from hurting my shoulders even with our heavy car seat. I now have both hands free to pull my carry on luggage, hold my airline ticket and/or hold my daughter's hand as she so often wants to do. I took a very similar trip earlier this year with cheaper bag and it was such a pain. Being able to hoist this bag on my back made the entire process so much easier. Considering I had connecting flights I made use of this bag four different times over the course of the trip. I highly recommend the bag. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the pull string. The plastic stop does not stay in place and when you pick up the bag it opens up from the weight of the car seat so I had to end up tying a knot to keep it closed which was an annoying inconvenience but was outweighed by the awesomeness of the shoulder straps. The material is also very durable and not super thin like the cheaper bag we had. I was skeptical about being able to get it back into the pouch and I didn't even try while traveling (I just wadded it up and stuck it in my carry-on) but once I was at my destination it was fairly simple to roll it up and get it back in the pouch much to my pleasant surprise. The zipper on the pouch is also really good quality which was appreciated since the zipper on the cheaper bag split pretty much on day one and became useless. I highly recommend this bag and, hopefully, the manufacturer will fix the fastener on the pull string and make it a truly 5-star bag.

Worked well for cross country flight!
I flew from SFO to Virginia and back with this bag and it was a big help. I was herding two little kids (5&2) through airports along with a bag and stroller. This freed my hands up and made it easy to get the car seat on and off the plane so my youngest had a secure seat for the trip. I used it with a smaller framed Evenflo carseat and it had a ton of room around it. I tried it out with my Britax Advocate which is a huge steel framed car seat and it still fit just fine! My only critic of the bag is the drawstring. For my trip it held up just fine but the string seems a little thin but like I said, it did last my trip. I ordered the bright red and i'm really glad I did. It was like a huge red "Don't hit me" sign which was nice since I felt like a sherpa. Also it made it really obvious to the flight attendants what I had and I didn't have to hassle with someone telling me I needed to check it. Overall, I really like the bag and will use it as a car seat storage bag now that I don't need it for flying anymore for awhile. Worth the money.

... old and 3 month old and I am very pleased with how well they worked
I ordered 2 of these for a trip I was taking with my 3 year old and 3 month old and I am very pleased with how well they worked! Unfortunately I know from experience that most airliners don't try to protect your car seat when loading the plane (we had one ruined last summer). As soon as I knew I was going to be flying I ordered these and I am so glad I did! The material is thick and durable, and neither car seat got ruined. Many people have compared the material to tent fabric, but I think it feels much thicker. They are also large enough that I was able to pack blankets and toys as well as diapers and wipes in with the carseats. Plus, on the trip home I even stuffed some dirty clothes in the bag. The shoulder straps are also super convenient and made carrying the car seats so much easier. Even if I only use these once, which I'm sure I won't since there are many different uses for them, I am so glad I purchased them!
