Excellent replacement part.

Direct fit for the new controller panel, no filing/grinding/drilling required.wire colors were different from Zgrills, but the board on this controller had labels which were easy to connect to the appropriate fan/flame rod/temp probe/pellet feeder wires.The included temperature probe was 1.5" too long (would have hit the lid) but it's advertised as a Traeger replacement so the risk was mine. It's connected with the factory Zgrills probe which may or may not need a replacement. Zgrills assembly requires the pellet box to be unbolted from the smoker body to get the wires through--but that's on Zgrills.Started right up and no initial issues to report.Will report back after the first smoke.First smoke: Smoker worked great last night, started up easy, temps swung a little bit at first, then stabilized and held really well.$45 well spent instead of a new smoker!!

It was really easy to do in about an hour, The controller didn't come with a diagram so it would be advisable to get the wire colors correct.

I bought my Traeger in 2012 so when my blower motor failed I decided to do a complete overhaul to include upgrading the controller to get two meat probes and a cool down cycle. I was impressed with the ease of replacing the controller and temperature controller. The meat probes work well and the cool down cycle helps to remove the ash from the pot. Be careful of the connectors. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.

Direct replacement. Easy to swap out and took less than 10 minutes. Only replaced the control unit but plan to do the probe later when I replace the fire pot. Can’t comment on durability, but it got my grill working ASAP.

Won’t hold temperatures.runs way to hot. control board keeps glitching and restarting the auger motor like it’s just starting up again.

Bought this for my Traeger Big Tex (2013 Era). Fit perfect and seemed to cure the non-stop auger run on smoke mode. Also- Really like the upgrade with the auxiliary probes that can be plugged in and used to minimize heat loss. Only slight concern is our temperature on the evening I installed it was about 30 deg/F--- But on smoke mode it seemed to be holding about 190-200. This seems to be hotter than the stock control panel that seemed to run at about 130ish deg/F in a similar ambient temperature. This was on a trial run with no actual food, for about a 15 minute maiden voyage. Hoping that with food and a little use smoke mode will cool a bit. I'll try to upgrade my review if needed. Item arrived very quickly.

We had bought two different tailgate sized smokers. Both had the same problem of no temperature regulation -- temps just kept climbing. I spent hours on the phone with Traeger, who was convinced that the problem was the temperature sensor. They sent a new one that took 4 weeks to arrive and did not fix the problem. The Unifit control panel did fix the problem on the Traeger. I can only give 3 stars for ease of installation, not because of the Unifit control panel, but because of the way the Traeger is designed. It's lucky that I have small, female hands because I had to get them both inside the small front opening to snap the connectors together and rewrap the wires away from the fan.
