Stays hot, Handsome materials, Good Filters
After breaking my 5th glass french press carafe in the last 2 years, I decided to try this stainless steel press. I've been using it daily for the past 3 weeks. It has exceeded my expectations! I pour in just-boiled water to make coffee or tea. Even after 30 minutes, my beverage is hot. Some heat is lost through the lid, but not through the sides (they are not hot to the touch; the lid will be warm to the touch). You can cover the lid with a rag or small tower to keep the heat lasting even longer. Prior to this press, I used standard glass carafes and would wrap them in a kitchen towel to keep them from cooling down. This press eliminates that need and performs well. The wooden handle and material look as handsome as in the pictures. It feels sturdy yet looks elegant. The wooden handle is bolted on well and is secured flush against the carafe; there are no unusual crevices or spaces where gunk might accumulate over time from washing. After daily hand washing, the wooden parts seem to hold up well and dry reasonably quickly. The metal screens screw together nicely and are comparable in quality to a Bodum french press, perhaps even a little better due to the dual mesh screen. The inside liter/oz markings are easy to read and have not faded after 3 weeks of hand-washing and use. This press seems like it will last for years. It is great, both aesthetically and functionally.

5 star FP but don’t get the fancy paint model
I held off on writing this review because I had to get a replacement. Be careful of the textured paint- it started falling off immediately. In addition to that, make sure to towel dry after washing or the wood handle will get worn out fast- like, really fast. Photos attached were after 2 weeks of careful use for the textured paint model. Why did I give 5 stars? After returning the first one I got a new one with flat paint and it is way more durable. The screen fits tightly and the coffee stays hot. It’s a GREAT and beautifully made French press. Just stay away from the textured paints and towel dry the handle after washing. It really is a 5 star product.

Love the color and handle!
I love the style and the wood handle! I’m temped to buy the matching set. Great affordable price. Makes four cups and is a lightweight press. It comes with extra mesh filters. Easy to use and clean. There’s an arrow at the top for pouring. The press is well insulated and not even warm to the touch after pouring boiling water in it. My husband just had a fresh cup of coffee and said it tastes great and well steeped!

Mostly Sturdy and High Quality
Pros: Great look. It looks amazing in my blue/grey/white/black kitchen color scheme. The wood detailing is super attractive to me and appears to be high quality. Provides additional mesh, which is a big pro. Cons: The handle did crack and break. I was able to repair with glue. Break is hardly noticeable but it is there. Unclear if this was a one off situation or a common problem with this handle design as teak can be a softer word but hardens more over time. Doesn't keep the coffee AS warm as I thought it would. However, I like my coffee lukewarm, I always burn my tongue if it is too hot. Suggestion for production: There is a metal piece through part of the handle. Could be less likely to break if the tang of the metal would extend further into the whole made for the metal piece that attaches the handle to the press.

Perfect for cold brew
Good quality and perfect capacity for a large iced coffee. Fits about 4 cups and the double filter helps with the sediment getting into your brew. I’ve gone through a few of the glass ones and broken them all - I don’t see this one going anywhere any time soon with how solid it is. Perfect for cold brew but Hot or iced either way the coffee is great.

Great but a few issues
We decided to ditch our do-everything frothing, five different levels of coffee-making, automatic drip coffee after it kept giving us trouble for the past year and we spent nearly $200 on it three years ago. We had a small glass French press and decided to get something bigger and insulated. This green one with the wooden handle was so pretty, slightly retro but modern look and has good reviews. So my issues are it doesn’t really keep it hot for as long as I would like. I fill it with boiling water and let it sit while I grind the coffee which takes several minutes since it’s a manual grinder. Then I put the coffee grounds in and add new, nearly boiling water. We’re not having any any trouble with grounds in the water. We pour 2 cups after about eight minutes. The other 2 cups are pretty warm but not really hot a half hour later. The next issue is that there is a hole where a screw went in, in the underside of the upper part of the handle so whenever you’re holding it, your index finger presses into that hole and it is uncomfortable. Not a dealbreaker, but if they could’ve just filled the hole with wood filler, which is what we’ll probably do if I don’t send this back because of the other bigger problem. The bigger problem is that the wooden handle at the top of the plunger gets loose really easily so when I screw it on a little tighter it just goes through the top. I cannot unscrew the bottom part to clean it. The first few times it was fine but now the bottom won’t come apart and the top is loose and the metal rod has come up through the wooden plunger handle. I really, really wanted to love this but it’s only 2 weeks old and it’s not holding up.
