Fabulous book to ignite conversation and reflection about a growth mindset!
Although I had preordered several copies, I did receive a complementary copy of this fabulous book. When I started reading The Girls’ Guide to Growth Mindset, I was immediately moved by the ease of the writing style. It feels like a side-by-side conversation in which an older sister or beloved camp counselor is sharing a new way to embrace being human and a lifelong learner. Although it’s written as a “girl’s guide,” the ideas, insights, and guidance are for everyone, including adults. What’s particularly special, however, is the intentional spotlight on women in neuroscience, social science, the arts, and humanities who have demonstrated grit, confidence, compassion, integrity, and fail-forward willingness to grow from mistakes. This is an important book to share with children, and especially tweens in our lives.

Wish there was one for boys
Absolutely brilliant. I learned about the "Growth Mindset" in my psychology course and I'm familiar with its effectiveness. I purchased this for my niece and she loves it. This book not only has great content but it has a beautiful, appealing aesthetic (The colors, images, etc.).Con:- Not really a "con", but I wish there was a version for boys. Me and my wife have nephews and would've purchased several.

Great Book for tweens and teens!
This is a beautiful book- both in look and in content. The book has pages to write on and really guides girls through creating and maintaining a growth mindset. The author makes the topic approachable to the age group. The layout is cute with wonderful graphics. I will gift this to all the young girls in my life.

I Wish Growth Mindset were taught when I was a girl!
This is a delightful book that I wish I had as an 8-12 year old girl! Growth mindset is so important for kids, especially girls who are trained in female socialization from an extremely young age. The book is full of color, and has sections for writing and reflection. As Coates mentions in the beginning, this works for boys too. If your child or student is visually impaired, just be aware that there are some pages of white writing on a peach background that might be difficult to read. I loved the inspirational quotes, the bios, the charts, and the way this book was organized. Thank you, Callisto, for the review copy.

Great for girls, tweens and teens.
I recommend this to supplement my therapy with kiddos. A lot of them talk about these concepts at school but don’t usually take the ideas beyond the classroom and integrate them into their day to day lives.
