Burgers' Smokehouse Hickory Smoked Chunk Country Pork Jowl (4 One Pound Packages)

I love this product. I just made my 7th or 8th order in about as many years. Keeps well in the refrigerated meat drawer. Just finished using up my last piece from last years order. It freezes well but it will keep just fine in the fridge until you open the original packaging. Then it has a slightly better shelf life than store bought sliced bacon. I prefer the unsliced partly because it keeps better. I use it in stir fries, rice, beans, lentils and soup. You can't go wrong with this bacon.

The fat runoff is crystal clear. The meat was soft and crispy. I even baked one with great results.Thank you for a lovely product.

I have bought this before and really like it but this last batch is pretty much inedible, tastes really old like it has been sitting for some time. Very little flavor and maybe freezer burnt. It came this way, not from my freezer. Otherwise an excellent product.

This jowl bacon was AMAZING!However, I got around three of the advertised four pounds. I did read the disclaimer that the four packages may weight more or less than a pound, but while one package was 1.2 pounds, the other three were just over half a pound, leaving me feeling like the company could have made more of an effort to ensure that the customer gets what they pay for.

Great natural smoke flavor for dried beans, green beans and collard/ mustard greens , just throw a few cubes of this in the pot.Awesome sliced thin and served like bacon. Family tradition to have hog jowl for New Year's with black-eyed peas.

Use as bacon or in beans. I grew up eating pork jowl and still love it. Skim off the fat and place crispy bacon on a paper towel to drain. Good with egg, grits or anything you like.

GREAT FLAVORING FOR BEAN SOUP AND BAKED BEANS, COOKS DOWN VERY NICELY ADDS AND NICE CREAMY HAM FLAVOR...

The picture is very far away from the real product I got. It seems regular bacon... And also, very strange and dangerous, no expiration date on the product. How that can be possible? How you can sell a product without the expiration date?
