I actually got this to use as a scarecrow to ward of aerial predators after I lost my favorite silkie hen to a hawk. It works great ! I chose the chef as it looks like a person the most. The hawks still patrol the area but they stay away from my spread , I'm not sure if my neighbors have lost any of their flocks , but they have not been back since I had this set up .

This lives outside 24/7 and runs every half hour for 1 minute and is going strong. Nice small footprint but powerful. The pattern on this one is super cute. I know it’s a cactus but we call him “Mr. Pickle”. I use Tubeys as scarecrows around my property. This is the third one I’ve bought and it’s specifically to use next to my raised garden bed instead of a fence. Paired with a smart outlet with an intricate schedule, it doesn’t keep all the critters away, but does a damn good job and compared to the pain of installing and eyesore of a fence is 100% worth losing just a couple of my plants across a whole season. So ymmv as a scarecrow, but the product itself is 10/10 in terms of quality and reliability.

like some other reviewers, i am using it to keep hawks away from my chickens. my previous method involved spraying the treetops with my full auto BB gun every time i saw or heard a hawk, and i think my neighbors will like this approach better. the fan is kind of loud, but not nearly as loud as the gun. i turn it on whenever the chickens are out in the yard and it does it's goofy dance. it is constantly moving and i can see where it could be mistaken for a person screwing around in the yard. i've heard hawks in the woods but not near my yard since i've had it. several people on the backyard chicken forums swear by these. time will tell i guess.

These things work really great to keep Hawks away for Backyard chicken tenders but the quality of this expensive one is awful and customerservice isn't helpful. Mine lasted not even 5 months and ripped all the way down the side and in both hands. I called Customer service at Lookourway and they first told me they didn't see an order and then told me it was out of warranty after 3 months andthey wouldn't even offer a decent discount until they kept me on the phone for an hour before they finally let me send pictures then offered 10% only because I kept asking. There's no use paying that much money for them to only last 5 months when you can buy the cheaper ones half the cost or less for the same amount of usage.

Worked great for months, then nuts started falling off the fan motor. When the second nut fell off the motor fell sideways & stopped spinning. Luckily I found it before it burned up. I went to the hardware store & replaced the nuts/ screws & it is still working.
