We have had olive oil served to us in a small bowl with bread on occasions and had been on the hunt for a good quality olive oil
We tend to eat out fairly often and while we don't consider ourselves "foodies" we have come to appreciate the difference quality ingredients make in a meal. We have had olive oil served to us in a small bowl with bread on occasions and had been on the hunt for a good quality olive oil worthy of being consumed right out of the bottle. I admit we fell victim for the farmer's market "high quality" EVOO one time spending three times what one bottle of Baja Precious cost. It wasn't until we visited Rick Bayless' Topolobampo last year that we made this "discovery". After being amazed by the complex and satisfyingly strong flavor of the olive oil we had been served we took a chance and asked the wait staff if they would share the name of it. We have been Baja Precious fans since. We go through a bottle every two to three weeks, using as is, drizzled on meats or salads and sometimes even to cook with. We love it.

Fantastic Olive Oil
I started getting Baja Precious EVOO a few years ago when there was a lot of media attention on the quality of various EVOOs and some Mafia connection thing where most EVOO is fake. I looked into EVOOs and decided to get the Baja Precious EVOO. It's from California, so it is regulated by the FDA and that means you are actually getting EVOO. Plus, the bottle has light protection so your EVOO is going to hold up.The Baja Precious olive oil is great (I can't type EVOO anymore) -- it tastes great (we've gotten compliments on our olive oil when having dinner parties -- seriously), the pour spout allows for well-controlled drizzling, and we've never had any quality issues with it. We use it in cooking, we infuse it to dip bread in it, and we use it to make popcorn.

Wonderful habanero olive oil, but spiciness is inconsistent
I've been ordering the big bottles of Baja Precious Habanero olive oil for about a year now. The flavor is great, and it's just the right level of heat to make a salad tossed in olive oil decently spicy.I'd rank this product 5*, as my first 3 or 4 bottles were great. However, I recently ordered a pair (before the last bottle ran out) and the spiciness was missing :(First bottle is essentially regular olive oil (barely detectable spice). The second has some heat, but perhaps half of what's typical. Unfortunately, I didn't finish my old bottle and try the new ones until the return window ended. So: 5 stars for flavor/spice normally, but minus 1 star for a bad batch (inconsistency). I'll still be buying these, but I'll open and confirm taste immediately.

Great!
I studied and studied olive oil because I never understood why anybody would just dip bread in it and eat it like that or on salad OR in cooking. Come to find out, I was tasting cheap, rancid olive oil that was misrepresenting itself as OLIVE oil. The bottle is great and easy to use (has a spout to keep it from pouring out). It tastes mild and fresh. I have used it in dressing, to fry/brown EVERYTHING for the past 2 weeks. And does it brown perfect onions and garlic! I am thrilled with this and will never use anything else. I stopped the hunt.

Good quality oil
I found a good affordable quality olive oil! I did some research & this is considerably high on list list for quality ( yet affordable compared to the higher priced ones) I know there's a controversy about fake olive oils , which is why I did the research. This one made the quality affordable list. ( So did Kirkland olive oil ) I like that this is also first cold pressed , unfortunately it's not organic , but I can not afford the organic ones right now. This does have a good taste to it.

Not 5 stars because of slight bitter after taste
First i'd like to say that my review/comparison is based on the Ariston olive oil vs Baja Precious. We like to have our oil with bread, so the flavors are truly tasted. So this oil is pretty good but it does have a slight bitter after taste. Where as Ariston does not have that bitter after taste, but I would like to say that its still an okay oil for like salads and other uses. I would recommend this oil for the other purposes, salads, cooking, dressings, etc. Although for dipping oil I recommend the other oil instead.

Yummy!
I have finally used each of these oils and I gotta say, "mmmm mmmm MMMMM!" Love the little kick. I'm not into the crazy stuff; I enjoy a little heat. It's not overwhelming (like singe nosehairs kind of spice.) For me, it's just right.

Fresh taste
I used to detest olive oil. Didn't like the peppery taste (although I like pepper) and the feeling of having the roof of my mouth coated with fat. Then along came some some new olive oils, and I discovered that there were other tastes to olive oil other than peppery. Along came a grassy, citrusy taste that I love. Discovered it's a common taste in Australian olive oils. But then I ran out of the bottle I'd been using and had trouble finding a replacement. This had a decent review and good price and yes, it's fairly clean tasting. So I bought a few bottles to have on hand for coating our organic garden produce with a little garlic and salt and tossing them on the grill. Works just fine. For drizzling over salads, I still use Australian Olive Oil....I found that King Soopers has a series of oils from other countries and one of them is an inexpensive Australian that I use. (try the Applebees Californian salad with Australian olive oil instead of green goddess they give you and you'll love the salad...it looks odd walking into a restaurant with a bottle of olive oil, but who cares when it makes a dish taste out of this world.)This is a good sized bottle of olive oil with a built-in pour nozzle that pops back into the bottle when you screw the cap back on. Helps minimize the oil drizzle down the side of the bottle.
