MTM 40/45/10MM Cal 50 Round Flip-Top Ammo Box

For this cheap price I was expecting a junky blow-molded hinge, you know the kind where the cover wants to close by itself while you're trying to pick the rounds out with one hand because there's a gun or a magazine in the other hand, and then you get frustrated and end up dumping the box out on the shooting table just so you can get your fingers on them, all the while cursing yourself that you were too cheap to spend the extra few bucks for a decent ammo box? But I was pleasantly surprised - these have two part hinges so the cover lays flat in the open position. Also the boxes are nice and sturdy. They snap shut very securely but are also easy to open. I can't believe these boxes are only $2 bucks. I'm gonna order more of them before somebody realizes they made a mistake on the price!

I fell in love with the MTM family of products years ago with the arrow cases, so most of what I say will most likely be a little skewed. I purchase these cases for in my GHB because cardboard boxes fall apart way too easy. I have .40 S&W hollow points. I set up the case with the primer up and cut the top and bottom of the boxes and pressed them into the lid to help with the rattle. It’s still there, just not as bad.I like the hinged lid so much better than the molded plastic, it ads a level of confidence that it won’t break off.

These are cheap little ammo boxes, but are more durable than one might expect. I have the MTM boxes for .380, 9mm, and .45 APC. All are quality for the price. A lot of folks have mentioned the ammo can be hard to get out of the box when placed primer down. I concur. I keep mine primer up, because I can live with the slight bit of wobble when placed in this configuration. The boxes come with color coded sticky labels so you can label exactly what's in each box.

My 10mm auto reloads and my 41 magumn reloads fit perfectly. The top fastens securely and seems to me made well enough to last. They come with labels which is a bonus. Several labels actually, so if you're doing what I'm doing, which is working with a starting load and plan on working up until I find the power/accuracy combination I'm looking might go a few labels. Great value for the money. I don't know how Amazon sells at this price and delivers so quickly. I have delivery instructions for two senarios and they are always followed. Nice to have in these times

If you are a ammo reloader and like to take a couple of different types of loads with you to the range then theses are the perfect solution. See-Thru but colored (I just have blue & clear ones) makes it easy to see on a label inside the sealed box what load is inside. If you simply like to store your ammo (made a great score during an Ammo Sale) for use over time then these boxes are great and very secure. I have over 50 of them in three different calibers (.38/.357, 9mm and ..45ACP) and it sure makes it easier storing and sorting them in my Ammo Locker. Well made and very durable. Highly Recommend!

I was comparing this box with several other big name ( Cabelas and Midway specifically) boxes that i already own. It is heavier built and has a real hinge as opposed to the typical flat plastic piece that is normally cause for failure in this type of case. Highly recommend.

Got this for my brother-in-law. Solid and sturdy. Size is similar to your average box of 50-count 9mm ammo. Holds rounds safely. Came with sticker labels in case you have multiple brands of ammo. My brother-in-law actually used those sticker labels on his mags to know which ones are loaded with what.

High quality storage boxes for ammo purchased in bulk. When possible I buy much of my ammo in large quantity bulk and these plastic boxes allow for easy storage, They stack easily and make for easy identification of the ammo, the caliber and the bullet type even without the use of the included labels.

Really like the new design. The hinge at the back makes it more durable and for sure it won’t break like the old design that splits.
