SPT UF-214SS: 2.1 cu.ft. Upright Freezer in Stainless Steel - ENERGY STAR

I am an RV'er and travel about 8 months per year on average. I purchased this Small Freezer in August 2014 for my Motorhome. Since it is only me and my puppy, I placed the freezer next to my table where another person would normally sit. I have 4 deep discharge Interstate batteries driving a 2000 Watt inverter. It is connected to one of the inverter 120 Volt outputs and it only needs 0.6 Amps which is 75 Watts of power. So far, I have been off shore power from 2 to 7 hours while driving, stopping and fueling. I have the temperature selector set on Medium and it maintains a temperature from -2deg F to 0deg F. I was very surprised to find that the compressor is very quiet with no rattles. Another great feature of this freezer for RV'ing is it has a door lock so you do not have to worry about it coming open while driving. To make it easier to access items in the Freezer I purchased 3 Steralite clear plastic storage containers with lids at Walmart. Two of them are 12.7 Qt - 15"D x 11.5"W x 6"H and one 5.5 Qt - 11.5"D x 7 3/8"W x 6"H. The 2 larger ones fit perfectly in the top two shelves and the smaller one also in the bottom of the freezer. This makes it much easier to access your food items. I discarded the lids to allow better circulation.So far, I am very pleased with this product. It came to me with a banded box inside another banded box, both with structural supports and padding. NO Damage and it worked perfect. I highly recommend this little freezer. It is wonderful. We use it in our camper and even traveling for 4 hours it was still at -5. Could travel for 8 hours and it still would have been frozen to a state we would not have gotten concerned. The packaging was exceptional and arrived in perfect condition. Only draw back is the controls are in the back and hard to reach, but once we set the temperature where we wanted it, it worked great. We installed it in the hall closet, lost closet space but gained more just by having it. We can close the closet doors off the camper bedroom and it doesn't create enough heat to cause a problem. Very quiet. Had to check on it to make sure it was still running. Wish we would have purchased this for camping years ago. Great product Energy Star

This is a great little freezer for your non-meat products. I keep all of my frozen fruits, bread, pretzels, pints of ice cream etc in it. There is plenty of room inside for these, and it is very quiet and looks good in the corner of my eat in kitchen area.

Cute little freezer. Just to let you know. Its a mini freezer. I thought it was a deep freezer. I feel kinda dumb I didn't realize that before purchasing it. Only complaint I have is it very small. It doesn't hold much in it.

The freezer arrived dented; however, instead of returning it, I opted for the (more convenient) option of accepting a discount -- the dent appeared cosmetic in nature. Fast forward 8 months - the day before my wife and I planned to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Whilst packing for our romantic getaway, I went to retrieve the top tier of wedding cake - carefully and lovingly saved to celebrate our first year of marriage. The cake had been sitting in the freezer for many months. To my horror, I found the freezer filled with mold and rotting food. The freezer had died (seemingly just a few weeks before).A tragic story indeed, but more tragic given that the freezer was 8 months old, and failed in such a catastrophic manner.I plan to replace this freezer, but this time, I will carefully research (and consider more expensive and more reliable) options -- an 8 month lifespan is clearly reflective of compromised workmanship and quality.

We needed a little more room on our freezer and this was perfect. I can't say how loud it is as we keep it in our garage.

Very spacious, love this product.

So far I'm loving this. I needed something in addition to my refrigerator freezer and this seems an ideal size for one person.
