Originally lower but now definitely 5 stars
First one I got died on the 4th pistol I was sighting in with it. It slammed shut, and the laser went dead. The folks at Tacticon were a blessing to work with! I got a replacement in a couple of days and it works great with no problems. From setting the sights to actual shooting, this thing is very close. Better than the other bore sighter I have, and easier to use.Highly recommend this if you want to preset your accuracy.

Great product for the price.
Worked well after installing some new irons on my CZ 75D Compact PCR. After some adjustments and a quick range trip to test it out I’d say it did a pretty fantastic job for the price. Now with that being said there are some sacrifices for the price, 1. You can not leave the batteries installed and have the laser off you will need to remove the batteries to store. 2. I would have liked to see it come with any way to store it even a cheap little bag would work. 3. After much testing you unfortunately will have to place the device in the chamber and drop the slide with full force in order for it to seat properly, this can cause unwanted stress and or damage to your extractor depending on the age and brand of your arms. All in all I highly recommend this product for the price and many of these downsides can be avoided by spending a little more money on a more premium product offered by Tacticon. This is the ideal product for the average consumer whom may be installing sights every once and a while. 25 year old male from the United States (if that matters to you)

REVISED: SEE INFO BELOW FROM TACTICON FOR USE!! Accurate, but difficult to remove
I wrote to Tacticon and they sent me the following:__________________________________________________________________Hopefully this information will help:___________________________________________The 9mm boresight requires two of the provided batteries (beveled side down). Insert batteries and screw on battery cap, laser should come on.Empty your magazine well. It is recommended that you do not even have an empty magazine in your gun.Pull back your slide all the way and lock it into place.Place your boresight into the bore and allow your slide to naturally close onto the boresight; it will slam the boresight into place.Sight in your optic as much as the boresight will allow then remove boresight and use live ammunition to zero in your optic the rest of the way.FOR BORESIGHT REMOVAL:Pull back your slide as much as it will allow and grip the top of the slide with your four fingers with your thumb on the back of the grip ( you will need to hold the slide back with one hand).Once you can see that the boresight is exposed, simply use your free hand to push the boresight downward to pop it out of your empty magazine well._______________________________________This is different from what is in the package or on the page, but it does work just fine with those directions. I'll take 1 star off for poor directions, but good for the price, and with the info, it fits well with the product design.I received the 9mm size. I wanted one to check one of my pistols which seemed to be shooting more to the left than all of my others. I didn't know if it was excessive trigger pull (left handed) or not. The bore sight fit well; I locked back the slide and placed it in the barrel. I released the slide, and it closed fully. SIghts seem to be true, so I need to work on my trigger pull. However, when it came time to eject the boresight, I could not fully retract the slide, nor could I lock it back. The boresight seemed to prevent this, and was moving back with the slide. I finally had my son push it out with a screwdriver while I manually held the slide back as far as it would go. I'll have to get ahold of the mfr and see if I did something wrong, or whether a bit of filing of the case of the boresight might help. S&W M&P compact, for those who want to know, not the Shield.

Works!
This is a preliminary product review as I have not 100% validated the results yet. Let me explain.....I used this to sight in a Ruger PC 9 carbine. First thing, put the two batteries in the unit. I was provided with six so the seller even provided back ups. cool. Unit lights up, laser is easily seen in regular fluorescent lighting in my garage. I will have to check it outdoors in sunlight to test at a longer range but so far so good. I put the unit in the chamber. It fits snugly and the laser, out of the barrel in the same as when the unit is "naked". This al least tells me that the laser is not hitting anything inside the barrel and that the unit is centered. Good. Fired up my red dot and without any adjustment needed, the red dot (green dot) on my sight lined up with the laser from the unit.Next step is bringing this outside and sighting at a longer distance (indoors was 15ft) then off to the range to see how accurate the sighting in process was.All in all, the unit works as advertised. I'll update as soon as the range in my area opens up.20200325 - UpdateOK. I don't have any red dots or scopes on my handguns so I waited before testing this in them. It works, sort of. In handguns wherein the barrel does not tip up when the slide moves back, this works, eg a Beretta 92fs. The end result is, since the slide does not move completely forward, the barrel is still slightly tipped up and not parallel to the sights. I tried racking the slide and releasing it using the slide release to seat the boresighter into the chamber. Well, it did. The slide still did not return into full battery. I then has a hard time removing the boresighter from the gun. Upon inspection, saw a firing pin strike in the boresighter where the primer would have been. Hopefully, the firing pin was not damaged. Tests were done with a Springfield XD9 tactical.I still give the boresighter four stars. If you can adjust for the very slight tilt of the barrel.I do give five stars for the service though. The unit has a lifetime warranty. I haven't contacted the vendor (no need to) but they seem easy to reach if you need to.
