Yes there are cheaper pork pies on amazon. This one was more expensive but nicer. I’m an old guy and was going for doofus hipster. No, not just doofus—doofus hipster. Even though I never was one. Doofus maybe, hipster not so much.Anyway, I got the xl for my 7 5/8 head. I think it would fit fine for 7 3/4 also. Nice looking quality wool fully finished in the inside. The brim, as advertised, is maybe one inch. Hat came well packed although it was in an envelope. Well made in China. I went with the gray. Very nice dark grey with a black hat band. Know any old guys who could use an upgrade? Try this hat. He might like it. The worst he’ll get is “what was he thinking?” looks.(And maybe a few “I need that”s for good measure.)

I ordered the light grey hat and the one I received is definitely not light grey. The color is more like a dark slate blue/grey color. I have bought hats from this manufacturer before. The build quality on the hat is decent, but the band around the hat is attached a little off kilter. It isn't a huge deal, but it's more of an attention to detail issue. This hat is "designed" in London but made in China, which I was unaware of when I purchased it. I paid a lot for this hat, way more than I should have with the shipping charges Amazon charged. Even though the color isn't what I requested I will keep it as I don't have another hat this exact color. I don't think I've seen another hat this color. But for the record, this isn't what I ordered, nor is it what Amazon pictured on the website. And for the record, this was WAY too expensive of a hat for the build quality I received.

This is a beautiful hat. The color is unique and rich and the material is high-quality. I love the simple logo. As a bowler, it's unique for its narrow rim--which works well for my narrow head! Brims that are too big make me look geeky. I had to return my first hat because I chose the wrong size, and did so outside Amazon (the seller wrote me directly, so it just worked out that way). In good faith, I mailed the bowler to London, and the seller reimbursed me for mail costs and sent a new hat straight away. This was a very good sales experience.

Despite having a wall-full of Christy and Kangol brimmed hats, this has become the first hat I reach for now. It is my favorite hat, period. The proportions and the narrow brim are perfect. I have since bought two more, and will buy more in the future.

This is comfortable, and a real, true stingy brim. It feels and looks great. __. It is NOT red, as pictured on the site. __ It is a light rusty orange. The color of a pumpkin. It is not the color of blood or life or anything like it. Just so you know.

I have several lids including other pork pies and stingy brim hats. This one completes my collection. It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Quality.

Stunning porkpie hat, arrived promptly, pristine condition and so well made. Unfortunately, it didn't suit my husbands head shape, we will revisit this website in future as we found dealing with them very satisfactory, kind and responsive.
