First off, what I received was a 100 gram scale, not a 50 gram scale. I purchased the scale to use for reloading, and I was having problems right off the bat getting consistent readings. I have a 50 gram scale from another manufacturer that I started checking it against. I started off weighing a 50 gram (aprox 772 grains) calibration weight on both scales, and they were both right on the money. That scale has always given me repeatable measurements to within +/- 0.02 grains. FWIW, there's a little more than 15 grains per gram. I grabbed a 300 grain projectile and started measuring it over and over again on both scales. My 50 gram scale gave readings between 299.70 and 299.74 grains. This 100 gram scale gave readings between 299.54 and 299.74 grains. Repeating the process with a 50 grain projectile produced weights of 49.85 grains to 50.0 grains. Repeating the process again with a pair of #5 lead shot produced weights of 4.85 grains to 5.00 grains. The 50 gram scale consistently kept everything within a .04 grain window.

I bought this to weigh my gold jewelry before taking it to the jeweler to sell. It was very accurate, and matched the weight noted by the jeweler.

This is very solid compared to my other similar scales. The display is large and easy to read. USB power option is a nice addition too. My use is for brewing water adjustments and the 50/0.001g rating is perfect. Over past week I have weighed test samples and the scale is very repeatable.

Everything was working fine with this scale but now when I really need it the most it started to go into the negatives shortly after I turn it on. I don't know what to do to fix this. You are supposed to wait for a minute after turning on the device but inside that minute the numbers reflecting the weight before I even put the cup on it go haywire. Up and down and up again. I am thinking that I should try to recalibrate it, but I am not very convinced that that would work because it seems like a problem with the scale itself. I know these things are really fragile and I hope that I didn't drop it and not realize it or something. Does anyone have any advice?

Was easy to calibrate with the included weight. I buy flea medication for my cats in the large dog size because, it saves money to break them up, weigh them, then dispense to my kitties. This scale measures down to the fractional grams which, is what I needed. It seems accurate enough that I don't worry that I'm dispensing too much to them. Perfect!

Often won't register anything under a quarter gram

Scale is very sensitive. It has a nice range of 0g to 50g. I like how many measurement types are there. I am using it for weighing food supplements for cooking. It has been a very reliable and useful tool for me.
