I have 3 of these steak weights and they have worked well. It's not to heavy that it smashes the juice out the meat. It's not to lite to keep the meat from curling up. Has a wide surface are and the handle does not get to hot to pick it up and move it around. They have not rusted. I hand wash them and dry them off immediately. Very good product.

Exactly what I wanted, but also order a smaller one because 2 of these won't fit well in a 12" cast iron.This product is nicely made, great quality, and I'm very happy with it. A+.

I learned the hard way that is not preseasoned. My burgers stuck it it. It’s nice and large and heavy but a little difficult to get clean. I will have to figure out how to season it without ruining the wood handle. Overall good value for the money

This is 8 full inches long, so it is too long for an 8 inch skillet. It fits into my 12 inch cast iron skillet well. It is heavy enough to work well. The handle is screwed on, and is wooden, so I hope it does not get loose. So far I am pleased.

Works good on our griddle

I got this for making smash burgers and for keeping bacon from curling and the weight is great. You’ll need a 12 inch skillet or a griddle to use this press without hitting the sides. Of course you have to season and take care of it like my other cast iron cookware to prevent it from rusting. The only thing I’d change about it is to make the corners more round instead of sharp angles.

Will NOT fit into my 12" cast iron pan which is the one I use all the time. The mesurements said it was 8.25 long so I thought it would fit easy, not so because my pan is round and the press hits the curve. But it does look like a great press and I am so sad that it didn't work for me.

Great price , nice weight, it gets hit and helps other side cook too when doing burgers.. love these things… but its a game changer cooking cheap thin bacon, keeps splatter down too!

Use baking paper on the bottom of it or tin foil to save cleaning and rusting

If you’re in the market for a meat weight/press this is a good option. I’ve been using this for steaks, smash burgers and other meats that I usually cook on a large frying pan and it helps get a nice even sear.
