Works great, not too loud, mounted vertical
Works great not too loud. Very easy to install with some know how. I have it mounted vertical and it moves a good amount of air. Update: I just bought another one and it is running just as smoothly as the first one. FYI I am running these using a fan controller. Works great!

Good fan
We used this to exhaust hot air from our server room. We ducted all the server hot air into a 6" pipe and then used this fan to send it through the roof. Works pretty good. It's not terribly loud (quieter than the 6 servers hooked up to it. Seems to do a good job. We'll see how long it lasts. Was nice that the unit comes pre-wired with standard 3 prong cord. They have others that do not (if you prefer or need to wire yourself)

TRY A DIFFERENT BRAND, I AM
First one lasted a year ok motors aren't great. 2nd one last 2 months I'll try a different company for the 3rd. They wouldn't send me another one since it lasted a month

only lasted 18 months
This was a sheapo fan that doesn't move much air. These usually last 4 or 5 years in my application where they run 24/7/365 but this one only lasted abt 18 months. Spend a little more and buy better quality

To loud.
Quite a bit louder then I expected. I used this fan to boost the airflow into my living room as the duct to this end of the house has a long way to go with many bends. I used this fan and a duct stat and when it turns on it sounds like a train is going through the house. Unimpressed and will be uninstalling it today, one day after I put it in.

Five Stars
Did exactly what we were hoping; more than doubled the air going to two back bedrooms.

Quiet fan, doubtful on CFM rating.
The fan is much quieter than the metal blade model it replaced. However, I highly doubt this fan is putting out 250 cfm. I compared this fan to a older 6" generic in line duct fan with metal blade and the amount of air being pushed out is significantly less. I don't have the mean to test the cfm of this fan, but I don't believe it is at 250 cfm. Now, if you don't need exactly 250 cfm and are looking for a quiet fan to move some air, this will do the trick.

Buzzes loudly, would not recommend.
Not sure if it is installation error by the HVAC Tech or manufacturing issues, but this fan is LOUD! Only been installed a few hours and im having to tape and rig up a way so the buzzing doesn’t drive me nuts.
