It worked but I did break one of the nubbs off.
I did get the cylinder apart using the tool. It did come apart really hard and I did use a cheater pipe on the tool. So with that in mind the tool did get used hard and it is partly my fault that it broke. That is the reason that I did not return it to get another one under warranty.

Used on a bobcat skid steer
Rebuilt the cylinders on my skid steer, worked fine and withstood alot of pressure. Might be better out there for more money but works great.

Worked on Mk3 VW ABA Crank sprocket
The 1/4 inch peg sizes on the smaller tool fit perfectly for holding the Crank sprocket on a Volkswagen ABA engine. Only used it once so far, but it felt solid and completed my task.

Pretty cheap quality, but got the job done
Nothing like having the right tool for the job… if I was still turning wrenches for a living, I’d look for something better. The one I received didn’t even have the threads for the “pin” set screw tapped all the way, so there was no way to secure the pin, and it fell out each time the tool was reset. Aside that annoyance, for my “one use” since buying my boat 15 yrs ago, got the job done. Was easier for me to fix the shoddy manufacturing defect, than to return it, so I did. Just a shame how everything you buy from Amazon anymore, is some manufacture you never heard of, and the quality seems to be “marginal” at best.
