WeldingCity E71T-GS Gasless Flux-Cored Mild Steel MIG Welding Wire 0.030" (0.8mm) 10-lb Spool

I love this wire, it is half the cost and works wonderfully for me. I mostly weld used oilfield pipe together with it and it runs very smooth and burns extremely hot. Have had to turn my welder way down but i can float it in like butter. Cannot say how it works on new metal but i barely prep any of the used pipe, or sucker rod when i weld and you cannot tell the difference. It does put off a good amount of gas/fumes but if you have used flux core you would know that's always the case. Mind you i am comparing this to Hobart Flux and would never go back.

I bought this spool of wire before starting a new fabrication project. It's decent, but i find it really messy. This could be just my perception, but it feels like the residue from the flux is worse than with other wire, and the spatter as well. It certainly gets the job done though. I wouldn't shy away from this purchase, it just feels like its messier than other wire I've used.

I have purchased a 10-pound spool from Welding City in the past and I am always pleased with their products. My local welding/gas supplier has a more notable named wire, but it also comes with a more premium price tag as well. I mean like double of what you can get from Welding City! Works well as a flux-cored wire, and a dual shield as well, you just have to turn the temp down a little when using it as a dual shield to reduce spatter. But it still works well with deep penetration.

The wire arrived in a nice, tough Mylar bag and was fresh as a daisy! Just this past weekend I ran out of the Lincoln spool and popped this one in and I was amazed at the clean welds, smooth feed and that 'frying bacon' sound that good wire and settings make. The customer was happy too, the welds chipped perfectly and brushed to a shine. The spatter was minimal and easily scraped off. Great price, great wire, you cant go wrong!

I finally had the opportunity to try out this wire and I am very impressed. I've been making a re-bar grate for a smoker project I've been working on and so far, this is the best wire I've run through my machine. It flows smoothly through the gun, welds clean with minimal spatter, and there isn't an excessive amount of flux build up on the weld. I will certainly be planning on using it again when this roll runs out.

This is great welding wire for the price. It beats the price of the local discount tool place that gives those 20% discounts on one item (even with their 20% discount). I am not a professional welder, so I don't know about how well it does with "splatter" in comparison to other brands, but it seems to weld well. Everything I have welded with this wire has held up.

It's heavy (obviously). No shipping issues nor the product itself. Great buy, a lot cheaper than Lincoln or even Eastwood! Does the same job. However, I can NOT review the integrity of the weld itself nor will I know how long it'll last. Overall it's a great cheap product, especially when you're using it for practice. Lots of welding material for a great price!
