Q: So I don't understand the balloon is not round as it is described ? I'm looking for round one and why Amazon do not keeping truck on that ?

It's round, but not spherical. Less like a ball, more like the shape of a round pillow. If you look at it from the side, it looks like this ()

Q: Can the ballon be inflated with helium to float?

Yes, I used helium. Follow the directions (they have to be fully inflated). They are great if filled correctly. I would definitely buy them again.

Q: How many balloons come in a package?

Only one. And its not a sphere, it's kind of flat, like a pillow.

Q: Are the balloons made from a stretchy balloon material? I'm looking for balloons that can be used for a demo in a geography projections class. Ideas?

It is not stretchy, it is a mylar balloon (like the ones you can buy in hospital gift shops or the floral department in the grocery store) It claims to inflate rounder than the average mylar balloon but i'm not sure i found much difference.
