Q: what's the material? It only says 15% nylon here.

These ragg wool gloves are 85% wool and 15% nylon. The nylon helps the wool wear better and last longer. I buy a lot of these ragg wool gloves. They are wonderfully warm yet allow for finger dexterity. The ragg wool gloves (similar to these fingerless ragg wool gloves) wear out in the fingers pretty quickly. I darn the fingers (especially the thumb and pointer finger) so I can get a bit more wear out of them. The yarn gets worn to a thread. A longer wear is the purpose of that 15% nylon.

Q: Do they itch like most wool

You can tell they are wool but I didn’t have any problem with itching.

Q: The description on the amazon page does not match the picture. look at the description. it says 100% leather and will keep feet warm. what?

Unless they've swapped something out - I received gloves exactly as those pictured when I ordered them - they worked great for my Fat Thor costume. And they would also, presumably, work great in non-costume usage I would think. They seem pretty well made.
