Like A New Drawer
Perfect to replace a chewed up drawer slide. Trim it, screw it, slide your drawer in. One of the easier projects I've done.

It is oak
The drawer slide will work and is good quality. I am not happy with the price , will try another alternative next time, the shipping and taxes were as much as the product!

Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Just what I needed, but it will take you a little time to install correctly
This was Just what I needed, to repair two broken/warn wooden center slides on my dresser. The wood is dense and good quality, so I am not worried about it breaking again any time soon. That said, it did take a little work to install it. My first suggestion, save whatever you have from the part you are replacing. You can use it as a template to fit the new one. I had a center piece that one side had split off, so it did not hold. I used the old one as a guide to cut the new one to size. First I cut off the excess length. I do not even know what the length of my piece is, I just cut to the size of the old one. Then the ends of my original wooden slides were notched so they would fit a little lower in the drawer and fit snugly. If yours are like this, I again lined the old one up with the new one and cut out the notches. I did this with a hack saw. Then I lined up the old piece and marked where the screw holes were. I checked and the bit needed was 5/8th and I drilled those, along with a 1/2 inch reassess at the top of each whole so the screw head goes into the wooden slide. Again this is exactly the way it looked on my original, so I just mirrored what was there. Now it is installed and everything looks good. I also purchased some replacement drawer glides, since two of mine were worn. I got these from Amazon and they worked perfectly with the new wooden slides - "Plastic Drawer Guide 6/pkg 1514" Hope this helps someone decide if this is right for them.

Worked great - fit perfectly!
Once in a while things just work. This was one of those times. I cut it to fit the drawer, drilled two holes, countersunk them a little, and screwed it in place without any trouble. It fit the existing guide just fine. I bought some replacement guides but I didn't need them. I'll keep them just in case something like this comes up again. Now the drawer slides back and forth like new again. It even arrived faster than they said it would.
