It would not work for about a week after it was installed (LCD panel went blank), but then it had a software reset or something, and now it turns on and LCD panel works. Still have to wait and see how it works, but problems at the beginning lead me to reduced confidence in this heater.First ReviewI don't know what it is with products purchased through Amazon from third parties, but seems to be a problem more often than not.... This is another example for me.Looks nice, but heater did not work after professional installation. I had the same model heater before that lasted a good 12 years with the same basic controls, so I know how it works, or should work. Did not install it immediately since was also installing a new filter and for weather, so was past a "30 day return rule of a third party" and their response was - call Raypak.Great.... Now dealing with a piece of junk heater that does not work and have to jump through hoops since seller won't stand behind it and help out with whatever it is.I guess I have to simply avoid third party sellers 100% going forward. I like to support smaller sellers, but it is just too much wasted time and money, and I don't know about this product, but in past, seems some things from third party sellers have been used. Thought something from a company like Rapyak would be good, even if a third party seller, but I guess I was wrong. Hopefully it gets resolved. Otherwise, just a $3k piece of junk metal to recycle.... and have to pay pool person even more to try to figure out why this thing does not work.

You must understand pool plumbing and gas and electrical requirements to self install. Not for those without knowledge. We had lots of pre prep work with Gas lines adjusting pool fence. We have a nice set up now. Probably spent $250 in gas to heat pool to 85 to swim first day of May in PA. We will see how much gas we use going forward. Weather not to be near as nice as first two days of May for the next week.

Priced the same unit with my pool guy andsaved $1,600.00 by getting from this supplier. Shipping package was great and protected the unit.Easy install and worth the effort for my saltwater pool.Recommend it to anyone!

This heater is fantastic! It has a digital thermometer, so no need to have that little thermometer on the side of your pool any longer taking away the aesthetics of the pool.It brought my pool temperature from 80 to 84 in LESS THAN TWO HOURS!!!Does it use a lot of gas, sure. But if you want your pool to be warm, and to be warm quickly, this is the best you can get! My pool is about 30k-35k gallons in ground.One year warranty. Can’t go wrong with that. And according to my pool guy who put it in, this is the best heater on the market! I couldn’t agree more.

The media could not be loaded.  I installed it myself in one day. Everything I needed was at the Home Depo. My Pool is 18 by 36. 35,000 gallons. Water is now 82°. Just by complete chance a relestate agent in the area Saw me installing the heater and noticed no mention of a pool in my yard. So he reappraised my home from 750,000$ to $1,325,000 . I do not know if the heater was the reason.

if you are not setting this unit out doors you will need extra part 009838 this is your chimney adapter which you will need to hook your boiler to the vent

I installed it in 2018, not once have I been able to open the pool and start using the heater in May. Each year something is wrong and needs replacing, temp sensor goes every year, thermostat every year. Springs for the pressure valve replaced twice. O rings replaced last year when changing the springs now leaking this year and need to be replaced. I would not recommend purchasing it.
