Q: What setting is best for succulents?

Start off with low light and gradually increase to high. Also start off with a few hours a day and increase to a lot more. I now have mine on for 16 hours a day and they are about 4 " away from my plants and my babies are growing beautifully and even giving me colors. I'm ordering my 4th light today because these are also good for propagating. Just be aware that all of this needs to be done gradually or they will burn. Once they are acclimated they grow just fine. Q: How far from the plants?

I usually set it so the whole plant or whole planter is getting light. That generally means at least 8" above the plant or planter (with seedlings).
