Pet Squeak Wood Dog Houses are designed to be Affordable, Durable, Easy to Assemble, and Comfortable for your pet. The Primary Wood in Pet Squeak Dog Houses is Cunninghamia Lanceolata, commonly referred to as "White Cedar" or "Stained Whitewood." This special wood is renowned for it's strong fresh aroma, pest resistance, and appearance. Most of our Wood Dog Houses ship right to your door via UPS or FedEx and require only the assembly of a few panels, normally taking only 20-45 minutes until your pet has their "Own Place." Choosing a Size Weight is the easiest factor in determining the appropriate dog house size, but factors such as breed traits and personality may also be factors. In general, dogs prefer domains that are slightly larger than their body and just large enough to lay down and turn around comfortably. Pet Squeak Dog Houses are generally available in 4 sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL. Please refer to the table below for weights and sizes. SIZE DOG WT EXAMPLE BREED XS Up to 15 Lbs Chihuahua S 16-30 Lbs Beagle M 31-50 Lbs Australian Shepherd L 51-80 Lbs Golden Retriever

Disappointed that I spent money on this.
This is not worth the money I paid for it which is very disappointing. It looks like cheap wood and they are very thin. The design is unfinished on one panel. Some of the holes werent even drilled like they were supposed to be. Which also shows the quality of the wood; they are so soft you could literally turn the screws straight through the wood. The screws were impressing the wood and it was sinking instead of splitting the wood. It also looks like they only used a single coat of paint and very splotchy. Also, this is in no way meant for a medium dog because it is small. I do like that it is elevated though which is about the only decent thing about it. The wood is so light, the dog is able to push the house wherever she wants to with no problem and she's only about 35lbs, 6 month old puppy. To top it off, the instructions were at first a bit hard to follow as nothing was labelled. If it wouldn't have been such a hassle to break it back down and repack it, I would have returned it. I will update when I see how it weathers the seasons.

Good (not great) doghouse. Sub-standard wood quality but looks cute and dog loves it.
I bought the doghouse about a month ago and everybody thinks it looks cute. Our miniature lab loved it from the beginning. Perfect size for her (she's 11 lbs.). We've gotten comments from others that the doghouse looks "cute" and is perfect for our little pup (who is a female). One criticism I'd have to say is the wood is so light and fragile. It chips easily during assembly (which I managed to do). Almost feels like balsa wood. It was relatively easy to assemble and so far no issues. I wouldn't call it good quality materials but you get what you pay for. It serves our purpose and I would make the purchase again.

Pups like it
Would get 5 stars if there wasn't an odor that lingers for a day or two. I just left it outside during the day and brought it in at night. I have 2 little Yorkies that use it. They are still in the chewing stage and with the wood being pretty soft they have chewed on the two front roof corners and the doorway area. Love how it looks.

I move things around her playpen so she doesnt get bored in there
soooo cute, I order xs house for my puppy, she loves it, at first she wouldnt go in it, took her a few days. Now she loves hiding her treats in there. I did put some of her toys in there the first few days to get her to go in, that helped. I move things around her playpen so she doesnt get bored in there. She loves it, plus it keeps her safe when we are not here.

Good for the price. Not the best
Good for the price. Quality is mediocre. It has a little defect. But overall worth the price

Cute, but a little cheaply made
I wanted to love this because the design is so cute and the size is perfect for my 5.8 pound dog. However, it is cheaply made. The paint or stain they use looks almost washed out. It certainly needs another coat or two. It was easy to put together, though, and feels more solid than I expected. I have used this only indoors so far, not sure how it will withstand the outdoors. Doesn't seem well enough made for outdoor usage, but I'm going to try it eventually.

Cute, but not too sturdy.
Rather shabby, but perfect for just my use in the covered back yard for my cats if they want to hide, and just because it's cute - adding to the decor! My felines come in the house through their cat door, so they don't NEED the shelter. When it rained (which isn't often here in the desert) I covered it with a tarp. Looks like it won't hold up in very wet or violent weather.

So cute!
I love this dog house. The color is very pink. I actually was concerned that I would not like this at first. Pink is not usually my style. But I loved the heart, the white roof, the price, the size, and the fact that it is off the ground. It went together easily and couldn't be cuter! I have three mini dachshunds and they love it!
