Anytime you don't have to wait the bigger the better put them outside will be just fine

They are high in ph. Soak them in fresh water for a few hours and then rinse for a few minutes and the soul be fine and check your aquarium water and adjust the ph as you would normally

Yes you can on a side note these are inert meaning no nutrients probably just a little cal/mag. Or just soak in water
