I love this product. I have been using the Skilcraft B3 aviator pen for years now until I swapped to this pen.It is great. The pen selection mechanic is a little "interesting" to work with. It is like playing Russian roulette but with a pen. It just makes it fun. That is a minor issue however in my opinion.The pen is weighted and does not feel cheap. The size is perfect compared to other multi color pens that are fat and ugly. This pen adds a class to the market. Also, getting two pen for such a fantastic price is awesome on it's own.I will definitely be buying this pen again if I manage to lose the two I have.

D1-refill multi-pens offer excellent function, if short life on the refills. With 4 choices, this pen is a touch on the thicker side but thinner than most 4 choice mult-pens. The Ohto 2+1 (now Bloom) is a bit thinner and more conventional in thickness.The Ohto has significantly higher initial quality in material, finish, feel, and refill quality. But it costs 4x as much. And has 1 fewer ink color.This pen needs some initial clean up and break in to become the pen it can be, especially if you're giving this as a gift.Unscrew the barrel. It will feel gritty and sloppy. Wipe off the threads. Your finger or a tissue is fine for this. Blow out the tip section. This removes most grit from the manufacturing process and makes the pen screw back together in a smoother higher grade feel.Check the length of the pencil refill and make sure it's not too long.Before you screw it back together, blow out the clicker section too. Compressed air is better for this with all the mechanicals in the way.Now extend and retract all the different colors multiple times. The action should smooth out as you release more manufacturing grit. The spring tension on the pencil is different than the others and will need more cycles of extend and retract to just start to smooth out. The retract action can be quite stiff. Early on in this break in, the retract wouldn't work. Simply re-extend the pencil and try to retract again. It should begin to function more smoothly and reliably, but may take 3x the cycles of the pens.Open it back up again repeat the clean out to rid the pen of any newly freed debris.It should now feel and operate much better.The stock refills are pretty basic ball points. Ball point is a good choice for D1 size refills as ball ink writes longer by volume than smoother gels and roller balls. But these aren't particularly nice ball point refills, rather merely adequate.The Zebra gel refill is my preference but being a gel refill, it doesn't write as long. Ohto makes a nice needlepoint ball refill. I put in two Zebra blue gel refills in the red and blue refill slots. They're my primary writing choice with this pen, so having a backup cartridge is good for me. The pencil and black ball point remain stock for now as they're only occasional uses.So, yes, I think this pen is worth it if you're willing to do some trivial set-up to get a better experience. You can improve the refill experience too, but you'll spend more than you think on quality refills. And only you can judge if that cost is worth the smoother writing and ink quality.

I just received my pens and I'm very pleased with the quality! The metal pens feel great with the textured barrel. Having a pen that provides three different ink colors, plus a .5mm pencil is a real convenience. The packaging is over and above what I would expect for this price. The extra refills are a bonus and free refills are provided by contacting the company at the email address provided.To easily select one of the options, hold the pen horizontal with the desired option at the top, and the depress the button. To retract, just press the button located on the pocket clip.

Sometimes the threading pops.and.the Len looks bent. Easy to pop back to normal. Use of the pen is easy enough. Altho easy to select.the wrong color. I used a sharpy to color the tips of the pens to visibly ensure I'm selecting the correct color pen

Very, very satisfied with this product. Strong metal body feels great in hand. Writes like a dream. Extremely durable. I use a color coding system for journaling and was looking for a multicolor pen that was durable to keep in my journal that I carry in my back pocket. I'm always breaking the four color Bic plastic ones I've used for 30 years. These were a near perfect alternative. The only ask I would put on the wish list would be to have a green ink as well but other than that very specific need, perfection on what i was looking for.

I had high hopes for this product because it looked good out of the packaging and felt good to write with. The flaw with the pen is that it is a friction secured pen not screwed to replace the ink. After less than 2 days I noticed the pen was coming apart in the middle. I tried to tighten the pen when I realized it was not screw fastened. The pen actually broke apart on it's own due to tension. I put the pen back together and within a minute it did it again. It is unusable at this point.Pass on this pen. There are many other options that will last.

I bought this two-pen set and one came with a manufacturing defect - no screw threads to connect the barrel to the top and it would not work, kept slipping off. I used the good one and didn't think to call the vendor until a couple of years had passed. I sent a photo of the two pens, one with threads and the other without, and they sent back a complete replacement with additional refills. The set comes with an invitation to request free refills too. The pens work fine, but the customer service on this purchase was outstanding.

Pen worked fine for the first few weeks. After normal pencil use, the lead started sliding back into pencil with very little pressure on paper. Also… the lead holder is flimsy so the lead would consistently break about 1/4” up inside the pencil. I’d pull that broken piece out, click to load fresh lead, then with little pressure on paper, I’d hear the lead break up inside the pencil. So the pencil is pretty much useless at this point. Oh, best part… I bought a two pack of these pens and both pens have the same exact problem with the pencil. Don’t waste your money.

This is the Aluminum copy of the rOtring Multi-Function Pen, Four-In-OneBesides the different material, the release button is also different, but it works alright after all..They copied almost everything, including the very fine thread, but since the aluminum is a softer metal, the fine thread started to jam due to deformation after several unscrew/screw of the 2 halves ..It got a thicker tip as well when writing or sketching than the rOtring version as you can see in the attached sketch ( rOtring on top, fake in bottom )Pros:- Spare ink included- 4 in one- Eraser hidden in the backCons:- Shipping fees- Thread is too fine for the aluminum, started to deform already- Expensive for what it is- I would preferer a finer tipsOverall, it's a cheaper copy of an expensive rOtring, hopefully it lasts

Overall happy with this purchase. It writes very smooth. The style is very sleek. The only thing is that the ink finishes fast but you can buy refills.

This pen is wonderful!It is exactly what you are expecting and hoping will show up. An amazing value too. Two, metal, sturdy pens, with pen refills and works perfectly. I was worried that it wouldn’t live up but it’s Far exceeded my expectations. It looks Far better then the oversized plastic one I was using. Feels better both for size and weight, and writes much cleaner. It has the simplicity of the colours I want and need rather then tons of options I never use, but still all in one pen that fits nicely into my notebook. It will also hold up and easily replace ink as needed therefore much more environmental friendly. I’m So happy with this purchase.

great for all round use both school and work

I work at retail and I love being able to carry just one pen when making notes or checking items. I like having the 3 different colours to switch out to colour code my writing. Using the pencil part is great for something not so permanent as well. Its not as bulky like most multi pens so it fits nice in the pocket. I also love how slick it looks that I get a lot of compliments from my co workers about it.The only thing is that I write a lot and the ink runs out a bit sooner that I would like. It comes with free refills but only of the black colours. Otherwise, great product and price for 2 multi pens!
