2 Pack of X6670 Lennox OEM Merv 11 Filter Media 16"X25"X5" Fits X6660 HCC16-28 Genuine Lennox X6670

This product is the same branded and built product as what Lennox markets. I checked the size for the product 16x25x5 and compared it to a $160 Merv 16 filter from a Lennox dealer and it's the same dimensions. These filters although noted to be 16x 25 x 5 they are in reality measuring about 1/2 inch undersize but again that is how these filters come! Not an issue! Update 1-19-2019. I checked and the filters aren't exact size and shouldn't be because the cabinet they go into has a small shelf that it sits on and the end cap that closes the enclosure has a foam pad that pushes against the end of the filter completely sealing this filter all the way around!

Am glad Amazon has these filters; for some reason they are hard to find at the traditional home-improvement stores (the "blue one" and the "orange one"), even though my a/c is actually still new. When my service technician does his annual inspection and recommends a new filter, he also says " I would love to sell you one of ours, but honestly you can get them cheaper $$ on Amazon." Even after the Fees $$, he is right!!! They are well-made and I have had no issues with them. This is my 2nd purchase..

Not actually 16x25x5” and is therefore not a good replacement for airbear filters which are true to their listed dimensions. This filter is actually 5/8” short in all three dimensions and while this is stated in the description, it is being touted as a 16”x25”x5” filter which it is not. It does not fit properly in my filter box and will be getting replaced as soon as my air bear filter arrives.

Good filters, though they clog up quicker than one would like. Ideally, one filter per year would be about right (especially in parts of the country where you need heat for several months but rarely need A/C), but the finer the filter, the more gunk that gets caught--not much one can do about that. And you do not want to be breathing in the crap that gets caught in the filter. If someone made a decent quality knock-off of this intentionally odd filter size (non standard size done to force you to buy the Lennox brand) for a good price, I would switch to those in a heartbeat.

I was looking for replacement filters online so that I would not have to buy them from my heating service company. I was not able to find this filter in local stores and was tired of calling them and paying the higher prices. I found this which was identical to the one already installed. The price was good. I already know this filter does a good job of getting the air clean. Just make sure to check it more often than once a year as this filter was advertised to me.

We were told by the furnace installer 6 months ago that the higher-number filter they provided with it would last a year. We have cats (which he could see), and his specified timeframe turned out to be a "fib." A later repairman (our air conditioner stopped working, because they didn't seal the coolant properly when installing the furnace and new air conditioner coil) said he loves the filters, that he gets 6 months out of them, but with pets, they would probably last 3 months. Soooooo.... these filters are really good, but recognize that you may have to change them more often than the installer claims.

The filter is not the true dimensions it advertises- it is ~1/2" smaller than it states or compared to old filter it was supposed to replace. It also does not include the weather stripping around the outer perimeter like the old filter. Between the lack or weatherstripping & smaller than advertised size, it would not work in the filter rack in our furnace. Ended up returning these & purchasing filters locally for same money that was a true size as stated w/ weather stripping foam installed. Bottom line, look elsewhere.

Purchased from Discount Furnace Filters. Product was actual OEM Lennox product and fit perfectly into our Lennox furnace filter box. OEM products may cost a little more, but ensure a perfect fit, something that is not always true with generics. If buying a generic filter, be sure to go by actual size, not official size, which is rounded to the nearest inch. These filters must fit tightly to ensure that air does not bypass the filter, and there appears to be no standardization among filter box makers, so the temptation to produce something "close", that will work across multiple brands, is strong for the generic filter replacement makers. Close may work in horse shoes, but not air filters.

X6670 lennox filter is the best 5" Merv 11 filter for the price. The only drawback is that it's actually smaller than 16"x25"x5" and thus doesn't offer tight fit in the filter box. Rather than that 2-filter pack offers great value and should be good for a full calendar year.

The filter looks like the MERV 10 version it replaced. I was leary when I read that the old X6670 MERV 10 version had been replaced by a MERV 11 model with the same model number - seems weird. The paper used inside the filter seems a little more light-weight than the MERV 10 version it replaced but it fits and works fine. Time will tell if it holds up as well. Seems to be the same manufacturer, though, so all should be good. It was delivered in two days, far faster than I was told it would be when placing the order.

Were functional and are doing the job, not quite the quality I expected, must have got roughed up in transit.

I use this filter for the filter cabinet on our home heating/cooling system Restrictionto air flow is less than other similar brandwhich is important.

This is the same one that my hvac person uses and they charge $100. I got it for 1/2 of the price basically. Awesome!
