Works perfectly in Fractal Pop Air case.
Installed in a Fractal Pop Air case, it’s exactly what I needed. Good quality all metal device, no exposed circuits. All the ports work perfectly and at high speed. Cable length was fine for my setup as it installs at the bottom close to the ports in the motherboard. Might be a stretch in a big tower case.If I was to find any fault, I’d say it’s not the prettiest device I have seen, it could use a flap or cover for the large CF slot (the one I will never use really), but my case has a magnetic cover for the bays so it’s nice and tidy when not in use anyway.

Very practical
Wanted to add USB-C connection to my PC without having to struggle around the back to access the motherboard's or graphics card's connectors or buy a new case that already has it. You need to have a case with a 5.25 inch external drive bay such as a DVD drive to fit it in. Mine does but it meant having to remove the DVD drive but I can't remember the last time I used it and you can buy an external DVD driver for around £20 if necessary. The added bonus of a card reader which replaced my external one is great as well as the extra USB ports. East to fit in around 5 minutes. Make sure that your motherboard has a USB-C connector if you want that functionality as not all do.

Short cables and not full length for screws but still excellent
The cables really are a stretch I got lucky with my case it literally had enough length and no more. The length of the box is also quite short so if your drive bay caddy is anything like mine, it wont have the two front side bay screws required to secure the item in the case (mine only has rear screw holes so the box is sitting unsecured until I can get a drill to it).In saying that it is still an excellent item and I'm glad I have it. Everything labelled worked as expected. But the overall design ain't perfect.

Nice
Great product for older PC cases that have a 5.25" bay but don't have the more recent usb ports. With a recent motherboard you can keep an older case more relevant and keep it from being thrown away.

Good replacement for faulty Akasa unit
I had an Akasa unit which developed a fault. This replaced it and added USB C so just what I needed. Did need an extra USB header so I bought a PCEI card to provide this. NB Needs USB 3.2, USB 3, and USB 2 headers, so check you have all three available.

Short cables
Installed in a Corsair 750D case. Everything will work well enough with header extension cables but the USB-C is just useless, cable won’t reach the mobo even in a straight line and I struggle to believe it would reach on most set-ups. Aside from that my cables are all nicely hidden so certainly doesn’t leave space for cable management. The sata cable only just reaches through to the back of the case for connection at approx 100mm long. Would rather not have the permanently on blue LED on the front panel but can live with it. Design is attractive enough and at less than half the depth of a 5.25 drive bay it gives plenty of scope to hide cables, assuming you are happy to buy cable extenders for everything.Side note the USB 3 cable is plenty long enough on its own to cable manage through the rear of the case and on to the right side of my MSI MEG X570 ACE board. USB lead will reach the usb header in a straight line EXACTLY. I always wanted usb cables running in a diagonal line through my case...

Incredibly fast SD card reader
Having just returned a better-looking-but-far-inferior card reader to Amazon for being diabolically slow, I took a punt on this, and it loaded 80 photos into lightroom in approximately one twentieth the time the previous card reader did. Well worth it.My only criticism is that my motherboard only has one basic USB socket on it and this has two cables, so I'm not entirely sure which ones work yet, and probably will never find out due to the panel also having USB-C and 3.0 sockets.

Decent bit of kit
Pretty straightforward to install but please be aware that you need: two spare usb 3 sockets, two spare usb 2 sockets, a spare serial ata power supply socket and a usb c socket ( most older motherboards won’t have this) on your motherboard. It’s now installed and works fine albeit the usb c connector c does nothing and the usb charging socket only works when the computer is on so it’s a waste of time really. Still would recommend as it seems good quality for the cost of it.
