Using as an attic ventilator. Low noise/vibration, satisfied with performance.
This review is for AC Infinity RAXIAL S8, Inline Booster Duct Fan 8” with Speed Controller - Low Noise Inline HVAC Blower Can Fan for Basements, Bathrooms, Kitchens, Workshops. The fan was delivered on-time, complete, and as described by the seller. It was well-packaged in a custom box and included a user manual, 2-year warranty information, and hardware for mounting the speed controller. The cylindrical structure is sturdy and nicely finished, the plug-in power cable and speed controller are integrated and the fan runs smoothly with little vibration. The speed is continuously variable with a dial control from OFF to maximum; at highest speed it makes about as much noise as a pedestal fan….. the sound is principally from the airflow itself. The fan has steel blades and is designed to be mounted/suspended inline in an 8-inch diameter ductwork; there are no mounting brackets provided. I am using this fan, funning at medium speed, to increase ventilation in my attic with the expectation of improving the efficiency of my A/C system (also installing a reflective radiant barrier throughout); so far I am satisfied with the performance. I am using an Amazon Smart Plug with the Alexa application to run the fan on a regular routine and/or use voice commands to turn on and off remotely as needed.

It's still running.
I bought this fan because the OEM squrill cage fan replacement for my wood stove would have run me about $350-450. So I got this instead, and along with a piece of 6in stove pipe ttoggled my own replacement.I ordered this January 30th, 2023, and we're now headed towards January 2025. The little fan is beginning it's 3rd season, and so far still running along nicely. It runs not stop 24/7 for about 5-6 months (Nov-Apr) except for when I leave the property which isnt that often during winter. It's about as noisy as a desk fan of the same size, and pumps enough air to keep the livingroom nice and toasty, and helps to warm the rest of the main floor as well. About 1500 sq ft. If this will see me through to the end of this coming April I would condider it worth the roughly $35 I spent on it. For right now this gets a thumbs up recommendation from me.

It's neither warm, sheer, or thick. It's not a nighty. Fan works well, already ordered a 2nd.
Fan is great for the projects I'm building. fairly quiet and good looking. steel fan and very little plastic or wiring to shield makes exposure a non factor. Affordable & easy to use when your designing from scratch.8" ducts are a bit larger than fan allows, but with a bit of squeeze the duct can be worked to fit. & the fan fits quite loosely inside the 8" but with decent sheet metal screws and some duct sealing, issues disappear.

More solid and cheaper than local
Rented out a house where I had to run heat to a bedroom and bathroom that the previous owner converted from a garage. Ran duct instead of the baseboard heater that was previously installed. It was a pretty long run, about 35' of 8" ducting and a couple branching off of that. 4 total registers. Went to the orange store to buy one of these but they didn't have the 8" in stock. Said I'd have to order it online and when It comes to that, I'd rather just order it on Amazon. This thing is solid. Metal fan blade, pretty solid housing. And cheaper than the store by about $20. Probably got it faster than if I'd ordered from the store too. The housing is a little smaller than a normal metal pipe but it wasn't a major difference and was a tight fit with the tape. I supported it from the ceiling because it has a little weight to it but that's a good thing. It actually looks nice, too bad it's mostly covered by the other ducts. Love the fact that it has a speed control on it, makes it more adjustable. It's not just 3 settings, it has "off" and all the way up to high is incrementally adjustable. It pushes some serious air. Without it attached to the duct work, it seemed like it was pretty loud on high but with it attached, it's no louder than the furnace. I also got a BN-LINK Heat Mat controller because the one at the store looked old, clunky and awkward. It was also more expensive. So I got that and it works great when the furnace is on and turns off when the furnace turns off. I'm happy with the setup and the price. Tenants love it because it makes that bedroom and bathroom warm like the rest of the house. Sorry for the long post but I like to give credit for a good product and show how I ended up using it.

Works as described
I installed this fan a month ago to the duct in a converted attached garage. I have it running continually to bring in warm air even when the furnace is off. It has made the room much more comfortable. It is running on 'high' in the crawl space above the room and it is very quiet. The noise does increase a bit when the furnace kicks on but is not bothersome at all. After one month, very pleased.

Product works but fan blade different
I can say the the fan does work, does move a nice amount of air IF you're not connecting it to any ductwork. As soon as you attach a duct, there goes your cfm's....and a lot too. The motor is very weak for it's size. I attached a 2m 8" flexible duct to help get some outside air into the grow tent. the duct has only 2 bends and this fan is already struggling to get the air in. Let alone connecting some sort of filter to it. I guess I will need one more fan to help the first one out, one inlet and one outlet. Also the fan blade which came with the unit is NOT as shown in the pictures at all. It's a very flimsy thin material blade and when I received mine it wasn't straight. That caused the fan to have excessive vibrations. I removed and tried to straighten the fan as much as I could an now it's kinda working better, no (or a lot less) vibrations. Overall for the price I paid for 2 I think it has the same effect as 1 of the more expensive 6 or 8" models.
