This stuff works great!
I purchased the laminating pouches to go along with my purchase of the Apache AL13 13" Hot/cold laminator. This stuff works great! I love the quality, the clarity, and the added strength that the 5 mil. gives my materials. I've purchased a lot of learning materials, task cards, and games from Teachers Pay Teachers and have taken the time to put extra learning items together for my students, so I want these items to least. With the 5 mil. laminating pouches, I know they will last. They stand up with whatever my students can put them through (aside from straight cutting them apart :) There is no trail of laminating that I have to cut off and bring with me into the classroom from another room. I can order the sizes I want from Oregon Lamination and load the sheets up so I do not have a lot of waste. At first I was using a glue stick to glue my paper cards in before I closed the sheets up to put in the laminator because I was afraid they would slip out of the film before they were pulled into the machine, but now I see that static cling holds them in place just fine. The 12x18 size works great for laminating smaller posters and bigger items that are beyond the normal 8.5 x 11 sheet size. And my students are able to use dry erase markers on the boards I've made them and easily erase them. The prices are affordable - I'm recommending these to all teachers. You can't do without them!

Thick and Affordable
I love my laminator. I have been making everything in my classroom indestructible. These are the thick pouches that will almost laminate a large sheet of construction paper. I cut the paper to 11 1/2 X 17 1/2 to make sure there is enough room around the edges. They are perfect for class posters. You can use them with dry erase markers to create a reusable activity sheet for students.

Work and look perfect to me
I'm using these laminating pouches in my new laminator (AL13P).I've used about 10 of these laminating pouches now. I bought them because they had good reviews and the price was right. They are the perfect stiffness for the table matts I made, and for a couple larger items I needed the larger pouches for. These are the only 5 Mil brand I've ever used, so have nothing to compare them to, but they work and look perfect to me.I would for sure buy them again, and plan to when I get low on these.

Great deal
These do the job they’re supposed to...mostly. Perfect with computer-paper thickness, but leaves a bit more of an unlaminated border around my cardstock which is mostly what I use) than I’d prefer. Still, they do a great job for the price. Recommend.

Very useful
I used these pouches today to laminate some desk tags I plan to use in a second grade classroom. I'm very satisfied with the result. I used a new Apache 18" laminator. Apache recommend 305 F for this thickness, another user recommended 290 F. I used the lower temperature with great success. **Your item shouldn't be 18" or the pouch won't quite cover it which makes sense. I needed to turn the tags around and use a second pouch to cover the end not sealed in and put it through the machine again. Someone suggested cutting the pouch down so I didn't waste any but I was concerned that it might jam - this is a once a year job so I figured the extra expense worthwhile.

Thick, durable laminate.
I got these to cover file folders. I should have gotten 3 mil thickness instead. It is so thick that I had a hard time folding the file folders without the lamination having problems. That being said, these are great for other things like covering art to make place mats, etc. The thicker plastic is very durable. I also love that the pouches are a little grippy inside making it so I can easily put multiple pieces inside and then laminate them down. I usually use smaller 9x12 pouches for small pieces that will be cut out, but this gives me the ability to laminate larger piecesIf you are considering for covering file folders: These are not long enough to cover a file folder AND the top tab that sticks up higher. I decided I wanted to keep the tab for labels and cut off a strip in the crease of the folders then left a gap between the front and back of the folder. The thicker pouches are durable enough that they can be the 'seam' in the middle without worry that they might come apart. We have been using the folders daily during therapy since the end of May and there are no signs of wear.

Perfect for the Project
I am an event coordinator for our family, and have planned and prepared for several Rehearsal Dinners. One item I've found that is a real hit is a custom placemat. I got the idea of lamination and searched Amazon.com to see if I could find a machine and laminating paper that would seal the finished product so that it could be used over and over again, thus becoming a favor for guests to take home. I discovered both the machine I wanted and was delighted to find laminating pouches. i wasn't sure about how they would work but was willing to try. So I ordered them on faith of the description and customer ratings, and they were absolutely perfect for the projects. After initial testing (2 or 3 practice mats), I got the hang of how to feed the pouches into the machine without causing wrinkles or bubbles. Highly recommend for any person who wants to preserve projects, or documents.

Easy to use!
I only recently purchased a laminating machine that required pouches. I was always hesitant to use a pouch thinking that they all were sticky and you couldn't reset the contents once you added it but before heating. That's not the case with these pouches. I laminated about 20 items fairly quickly. Since the item to be laminated was all the same size I created a template on the table next to the laminator with painters tape so that I could center the page to the pouch. I only crinkled one page but I inserted it into the laminator the wrong way. Read the directions with the Pouches first and you should be fine. Some minor bubbling but the laminator might not have been hot enough.
