I received the item faulty put batteries but is not working

We are a little disappointed with this as we thought it would act as a fork for lifting meat out of a pot to a plate etc as well as being a thermometer. It’s a bit flimsy and can only be used as a thermometer. We don’t think this would take any real weight before it would break!We do like that you can change between Celsius and Fahrenheit. It’s annoyingly inside the battery enclosure which we have to use a spoon to open as it’s really tight.We would have preferred an internal battery charged by USB rather than two batteries that we have to change.Nice hook at the end to hang up which could be useful to hang on the BBQ or kitchen hook.Not sure if it take the average of each prong so we will have a play with two different temperatures to see.All in all a little disappointing as it’s a bit too flimsy. No real benefit over more basic designs. We think this might have been a little bit of more style over substance!

First press the MEAT button to select the meat, then press the TASTE button to select the taste (somewhat cooked) according to your preference 2. After selecting, insert the tip of the temperature measuring rod into the thickest part of the meat (do not touch the bone), and the insertion depth is at least 2cm 3. Wait for about 15~20 seconds for the thermometer to stabilize 4. When the temperature reaches the preset temperature, the thermometer screen will beep Advantages: convenient for outdoor night barbecue Disadvantages: The light on the screen will not always be on.

You need to use two of your own AAA batteries to get this to function. It works well and is easy to use to test temperature on meat. There's a switch to go between Centigrade and Fahrenheit cleverly hidden under the battery cover and you can select your meat and the degree of rareness of it by cycling through buttons -there's a little screen. So far so good..... but the build quality is very average, and so it's not easy to clean the prongs without compromising the electrics. I just don't think it's going to bear up to much long use and I'm a bit worried that it's difficult to keep hygienically as clean as I would like.

This will be handy this Christmas, you can check your meat if it is thoroughly cooked, taking the stress out of whether it’s safe to eat and know the meat will still be tender and moist. This  boasts a very clear display which takes just a few seconds to find the temperature with the temperature reading and control buttons set in the handle. This double up as a big fork , take the temperature then use it to keep the meat steady as you carve your meat, just be careful because the probe is not that sturdy. This is very useful product , easy to use and clean. I wish that it is a bit heavier.  Overall very happy with this product, just make sure to insert the probe in the middle of thickest part of the meat, to get the most accurate reading.
