I can now put my new shoes on myself with no help. It is just the right length for me extended to use with ease. After buying a pair of shoes online and finding out they folded inwards at the heel. I was unable to get them on with the low shoehorn we had as it always ended up at the side of my food. This shoe horn, for me, is easy to use. I recommend it for anyone who cannot bend. Well made and seems sturdy, time will tell. I like the handle for hanging as well. For me, it was well worth the money and I am glad I ordered it.

Came in a box, ready to wrap as a gift if needed. I(instructions on box and leaflet inside the box. Validated the measurements and the add is accurate, approximately 36" long extended all the way, 5 sections including the handle, totally collapsed ~14" (including blade). Weighs 6.6 oz so good for travel. 5" long loop on the end will facilitate hanging on a hook or hanger, seems well attached, though it loops through a hole and I think you could remove it if you wanted to. The handle end has a clear plastic cap, with a screw shredded hole to which I'am not what for. Made of aluminum alloy, black color, with white dots, not sure what they are for, I guess and indication of where a section ends and where to grab and trust to tighten or loosen to adjust the length and twist. Sections lock with 1/2 twist clockwise looking from handle end. Locking doesn't take a lot of force and easy to do with my arthritis hands (and two finger surgeries; 2 hands 4 fingers). To telescope longer I found I had to do each section at a time. Handle is foamy rubber (non-slip) 4-3/4" diameter, 8" in circumference so good for average size hands; if you have extra small hands you might want to test with some round object first. The shoe horn is aluminum alloy and thick (2/16"), it won't bend, is smooth but a matte finish. Won't snag socks or shoe material. It is smooth enough you can use if to remove socks if you want. Again adjustable from ~14" to `36" so you can use if sitting or standing. It is sturdy enough that you can use it standing with no problem. It's study and fully extended it feels quite study/stable, but Im not sure how much weight it could support- I wouldn't try using it as a cane. The bottom of the shoe horn is ~2" wide with smooth edges (rounded). The horn concave is 4/16"deep, so should accommodate heals well. Overall very pleased, sturdy, well made, easy travel, won't rust, can us sitting or standing.
