Top of the line, true quality.
I absolutely love the overall look of this balaclava. It's very high quality and DEFINITELY keeps the heat in. I love the ability to switch from balaclava, to just hat(if you pull the mask down) to just mask(if you pull the hat down) to just scarf (if you pull mask and hat down.)It feels damn good, looks damn good and is perfect for the cold, the wind, keeping out dust particles if you have dustmite allergies like myself, cutting the power lines, getting weird looks and overall having a sense of style alongside its general uses. It's a very attractive piece.

This is awesome!!
I had a balaclava before which I like. But this is way Better especially with covid since it has a face mask and filter built in. That being said. There are 2 things I would improve, the nose clip isn't moldable so it's not a perfect grip. The other thing is that I wish the filter had a cover on the inside. Its very warm, feels great and covers the ears just right!

high quality. Windproof certification.
I ordered it two days ago when it was really cold. Today, I’m really excited, but it’s 75 degrees Fahrenheit, which is beautiful, so I didn’t use it at work. After the sun went down, my way home was about 45 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I put on a new balaclava and pushed the window down. I drove 16 miles at a maximum speed of 70 mph and no longer felt the wind except around my eyes. Therefore, I can say with certainty that it is indeed windproof.

Un-realistic
I enjoy the fact that my head has much room to preform all the activities my Bald head goes through in a normal day.Dis-like// In order to breath properly, i removed the two very flimsy plastics , well lets call them Turkey Circles. Thank god my beard is manly. Too hot for casual inside wear, but i feel like people with Carrot Top hair would truly enjoy this mask. (As long as said Poofy out this world haired person does not suffer from Asthma.....)With all that said, it looks cool, and is comfortable when my bald head gets to enjoy the warmth. Did i mention you look cool lol.(Windproof i feel is a little strong, slow the roll on that one Tiger)

Scare the neighbors...
This balaclava is pretty awesome for the money. The filter is kind of meh but the hood is so thick that it doesn't matter. Definitely for colder weather, it's made of some sort of thick fleece. It looks so much better than the pics, when I wear it, the top isn't so puffy looking. But then again, I'm bald...

Damaged valves, bad nose piece.
Two things made this balaclava completely unusable.First, the nose piece is not a bendable metal piece like most of these air filter masks. It is just a piece of plastic bent into a U-shape. I think the designers were hoping it would flatten out a bit with a nose behind it to provide a seal. In practice, it prevents the mask from sitting flush with the face. The nose piece refuses to spread enough to conform to the nose and leaves giant gaps for outside air to freely enter the mask. It also causes fogging for those with glasses.Secondly, the valves are not being assembled correctly. When a filter is installed and a proper face-seal is achieved, the valve would ideally allow you to exhale through it, but not inhale. So if everything was working correctly air would come in through the filter and out through the one-way valve. The main part of the valve with the lighter colored disc shaped piece is the working part of the unit. The black part is a clamshell that closes over the disc. The valves I got the disc (a material similar to inflatable pool toys, but thicker) was not oriented correctly within the clamshell causing a peg that the disc sits on to indent another part of the disc. This caused weakening in the disc at that wrongly punctured area, making the disc and the whole valve useless. So, not only does this balaclava not provide a good face-seal. It also has poorly assembled valves that compromises a critical sealing component.Skip this, there are air filter masks available elsewhere. And don't pay more than $15 for a mask and it should come with a few extra filters. And don't buy 3M Filtrete filter pieces that someone else cut out of a furnace filter. You can buy the whole furnace filter yourself.

Well-made products
I work outside. Other types of masks are troublesome, because there is no real ventilation for exhalation, so my sunglasses will quickly fog up, and I have to remove the mask for safety reasons. This mask is not like that. Good ventilation, but bitterness can keep you safe. Highly recommend.

Didn't fit well, allows cold air through
The only good: definitely good fleece. Where it actually sealed to my head got too hot on a 30 degree bike ride. The bad: plastic nose clip was very tight and not very flexible. Felt like I had a clothes pin on. Those little holes you can see are just that; holes. And they let nice cold air blow in on the sides of your face. If you take the filter out your skin will be exposed. The overall fit was not good. The top fit my head but the rest was baggy. The little plastic clips holding the filter in are cheap. One actually came apart by itself while riding.
