Tripett New Zealand Green Lamb Tripe Dog Food, 13 oz cans, Pack of 12

Oh my gosh ! This product stinks. It looks nasty and you will want to throw up. It is a smell like no other. You will need to feed it outside to your pet. Your dog is going to gulp it down within a few seconds. Your 4 legged animal will love you for giving it to him, however you will want to drown yourself in cologne.I would recommend giving your pet the entire can in one feeding, if you can. This is way too stinky of a product to have left over in your refrigerator.This is a smell you will never forget.

The product was advertised and sold to me as 'Tripett New Zealand Green Lamb Tripe Dog Food". When I received the cans there was no indication if the content was coming from New Zealand or was actually made there, it said: Product of USA. I contacted the manufacturer who replied "the Lamb itself comes from New Zealand, but the food itself and processed and manufactured in the US." This is misleading and for this price tag I would expect correct marketing.

I'm using this to hide medication for my dog who is suffering from bone cancer. She's on so much medication and trying to get her to take all her pills and herbs daily is a challenge. I've used both this and the beef tripe and as soon as I put this down, she gobbles it up. Won't eat in other canned foods, just this tripe.When she was healthy, I also gave this to her on occasion as a treat. It's one of the better brands on the market and you're getting more of the "green" tripe than others.

She is a four year old rescue. Had major surgery for digestion problems and would not eat after the surgery. I add a spoonful to her hard food and she eats it all! Her digestion had never been better. It does stink, so store in a really sealed container. I gave it to my pet sitter for her aging golden and he loved it and has more energy. This really saved my dog. She is happy, has her energy back and is her old self again.

This is a great product and my dog's love it. I use this as part of my dog's raw food diet. I can't handle tripe in it's raw form due to the smell. This however I can handle as it reminds me more of horse manure. More tolerable. I also like that the can is a pop top which helps aid in my efforts to keep my area as sanitary as possible. Def. a product worth buying in my opinion.

Anyone that’s ever purchased Tripett knows that’s this is not what the product used to be (see a pic). After several years of usage, I will no longer be buying it. The most recent order doesn’t look or smell like green tripe (should be a strong smell of undigested food, almost like poop smell - I know, gross for us but good for dogs). This batch looks, feels and smells like mushy corn bread with a hint of liver. Not sure what’s in it, but it’s not green tripe.

This is one of my dog's favorite canned foods.I tested several side by side, and she almost always chooses to eat this one first. She likes it a bit better than the 'Original Formula' which smells worse to me and only gets eaten first about half the time.Granted, green tripe smells horrible to humans anyway, but when she chooses this one and it doesn't smell as bad, this is the one I buy more of.

This is something the dogs really love it. Based on the label and how it looks seems to be made of mostly natural ingredients. Now, it does stink, bad...but that makes it even more attractive to the dogs. I haven't seen any side effects on my dogs, so I assume is ok.We call it fast food, because ours eat it faster than any other food.One thing ... is not cheap.
