How should product be applied to scalp for seborrheic dermatitis should the hair be wet or dry when applying ? thank you

I've tried several of these probiotic treatments for both scalp and other key eczematous dermatitis sites. After trials of two to four months, I was unable to detect any effect whatsoever with probiotic creams, lotions, shampoos or conditioners, although I did experience apparently brief initial positive responses with one or two of the preparations, which almost always indicates a placebo response only.
