Getting Ready for Marriage Workbook Paperback – February 1, 2015

My fiance and I have been working through this workbook and other books from Focus on the Family for pre-martial counseling and I absolutely love it and recommend it to all couples to do before they get married. It has brought up so many good talking points that you wouldn't normally think about and I am so grateful for this book! If you are about to get married and want something to go through with your partner, do this workbook and the other pre-martial books from Focus on the Family they are amazing! You won't be sorry!

I, the male in our relationship bought this as our moving in together I'm 4 months wedding in 9 months. Thought it would be a great Christmas gift for us to work on our relationship. It's a tad challenging but well worth it. She loved the idea and I got brownie points for focusing on our relationship. Look forward to progressing in the book and my relationship

Love the workbook! It really forces you and your partner to think when answering the questions. The only thing I did not like is that the workbook is made for one person to write/answer the questions. Your partner either has to order his own book or write his answers on a piece of paper. At the beginning of the workbook it tells you that you each should have your own workbook- even though you go over the questions and answers together. Other than that, the workbook is great!

A useful, accessible tool for exploring the myriad of issues facing a couple moving toward marriage. The authors' writing style is very accessible and informal, but full of useful statistics and stories to support the importance of the subject material they bring up. The workbook is designed to bring up important subjects, and then allow the couple to explore them together. It doesn't necessarily prescribe what to do with the information you discover about yourselves, although it does offer cautions for somethings. Recommend it for couples, and counselors doing pre-marital work with a couple.

From what I have read so far it is a good book. Looking forward to reading the rest.

This product was fantastic. My wife and I did premarital counciling with this work book and it was a great conversation starter for each of us to get to know each other a little better. This book brought up a few sensitive topics but also allowed us to learn and understand one another’s personalities along with the guidance of our councelor. I would recommend to anyone whether you’re getting married in a year or soon! This book helped my wife and I grow closer and understand one another even more!

Great book for those preparing for marriage. Covers everything you'll face in marriage and pushes you to find a couple or pastor to try and emulate and/or discuss the lessons/disagreements with. I would suggest getting two books and working through them independently and then reading them together. My fiance and I actually got three (they're really not that expensive), and gave one to the pastor marrying us so that he could keep us accountable as well as follow along.

Helpful and clear exercises for my fiance and I to reflect on and discuss together before our wedding. I'd highly recommend going through all the questions and chapters. Although it is a Christian perspective, the topics and questions brought up can apply to everyone.

The questions are quite insightful. My man and I were really able to dig into some important questions by writing down our answers first and then sharing them with each other.
