Delicious
Great product for a food lover. More expensive than the average normal sauce/oil but the flavor is more than worth it. Perfect gift.

I might become a hot sauce guy, part 3
My son and I were talking a couple of weeks ago about a hot sauce that he had tried and really liked - of course, he didn't remember the name, but he did say "You know, pops, I think I might want to become a hot sauce guy." What a grand idea, and I decided to get us a few different ones to try. Being from Cleveland, I am a fan of Stipe Miocic. I think he is a spokesman for the stuff - at least, my son and I convinced ourselves during the duration of our conversation, that he was. And quite frankly, even if Stipe wasn't involved, this Truffle Infused Hot Sauce seemed like something that two beer chuggers from Ohio should try, because we are so "sophisticated and cultured" and the like and want to become "Hot Sauce Guys". Now, I am not interested in heat for the sake of heat. I don't mind the heat being there, because it augments the flavor and gives me a little bit of something. But I don't want to hallucinate while eating wings or a burger or pizza or whatever...if I can still see straight, there's nothing wrong with a little bite back, in my book. Three versions of Truff in the multi-pack. Black Label is the base chili with black truffle. Red Label is the base chili with black truffle with habanero added, to kick the heat up. The White Label is a base chili with White Truffle. This Truff stuff is unbelievably good. We started with the Black Label. Upon opening, you definitely can smell the umami of the truffle. It is not off-putting, but it is different than just a chili or vinegar smell. Umami is earthy, and that is a good description. It is a bigger bottle, with a nice open end for easy pouring. It is thicker, with some definite body to it. It pours out a beautiful red, and the flavor is outstanding. A perfect heat to be an everyday sauce, a perfect mix of chili, umami, sweet. Wow, this stuff is good. The Red Label is a bit hotter, but the same flavor profile, just a little extra "stay around time" on your tongue. Outstanding. The White Label is a bit more orange in color, as if the white truffle were affecting the mix...it is a bit more subtle in the umami, and bit different flavor profile. This is really good stuff, and again it has the right mix of heat and flavor to make it great on steak, mushrooms, or salami and cheese... Truff are three of the best sauces I have tried. They are definitely different, but that is sort of the point. These sauces deliver flavor with the heat. It is not "make me sweat and curl my toes" heat...it is that nice hot pepper heat that says "hello...ok goodbye" and has an awesome flavor. Now, the hard part - the price is, well, a bit pricey. The Black and Red label are about $18 a bottle each, and the White Label is about $36 a bottle. This three pack was packaged in a fancy box, the sauces were nestled into a little display cutout, and the bottles have a fancy cap on them. All for $70...for hot sauce...that is a pretty gamble to try something and not know what you are getting. But, I have spent more money on a lot of dumber sh!t in my life, so I rolled the bones - this stuff is awesome, we definitely enjoyed it. Start with just a bottle of the Black or Red label - for $18, what the heck, right? This stuff will make for a great gift, too...it is a little bit of fancy that a lot of people will not even think of trying if it were not for being a gift. That makes it cool...well, hot...well, neat-o.

Wasted Money
Don't buy this. It's not hot. It's not particularly good tasting unless you like Heinz Chili Sauce, which it kinda reminds me of. Way too sweet and lacks character or ping. I have no idea what target type of sauce these folks where shooting for. If I were cynical, I would guess they said, "Lets package some mediocre 'hot sauce', made with expensive ingredients like it’s an iPhone, price it like Crystal, and it will sell to people who don't know what a good taqueria taco tastes like.". Honestly, I feel like a sucker. When I got it, I was excited for my 21 year old son to try it. Everyone in my family can cook well from a Grand Marnier Souffle, to from scratch awesome French bread, to a big batch of carnitas. I've had every kind of hot sauce imaginable. This is not good. After I tasted all three I never touched them again and neither did the rest of my family. The three bottles are still in the door of my fridge. I had to rescue an almost full one from the trash, as my wife had tossed it for being around too long. I haven’t tossed them myself purely out of caprice, or sense of how much I stupidly paid for them, or maybe some subcon idea that I will find a use for them! Any old Tabasco, Tapatio, Luisiana, Sriracha or whatever fermented, thicker sauce you like is likely better than this. If I seem harsh, it's because people will buy this on the rep and be stung. Waste of money.

Nice Product
Overall, this is a nice product. The sauces are all have very different flavor profiles. The Red is basically a spiced-up ketchup driven product which I think is great for fries/burgers as it's vey generic. The White definitely has more depth and the Black is hotter but balanced (a favorite) for my palette. They all pack a decent punch and this makes a great gift. Cons: Expensive and as stated, the Red is really generic and not worth the price point. I recommend going with the White and add the Black if you want something hotter.

Delicious and Worth the Price!
This is my favorite variety pack from Truff. I discovered the brand through Oprah's Favorite Things naturally and am glad I gave it a shot despite the high price tag. I am not a huge spice person but these two hot sauces are very flavorful and a little can go a very long way for me. The truffle oil is amazing and really amps up my cooking game. I have a foodie friend that hates truffle for some reason but even she liked this brand's oil (high praise coming from her). The packaging is very luxe, making for a great present option as well.

GREAT gift for food-minded friends
Man, I tried this stuff at one of those fancy give-you-a-free-sample-and-talk-to-you-for-20-minutes grocery stores, and I had to buy it after that. The truffle flavor is solid, but not overwhelming (and legit truffle, not that watered down shortcut taste you sometimes get in cheaper oils or something) while the "hot" is more than just straight heat but flavorful hot sauce. This is the kind of hot sauce that you put with a cool cheese platter you have to throw together for that thing you don't really want to go to, with those friends of your spouse that are nice, but you know you aren't going to enjoy being with after the first 30 minutes of pleasantries are done. Everyone does brie, and maybe a guda, with tasteless crackers, and some unknown fig spread next to the salami slices--this kicks your game up! This makes your cheese spread go from meh, to YEAH! And, to have a box like this to give as a gift, because the host did hook you up with that job interview, and you really do owe them something for the effort, makes it all come together. It's pricey because it's quality, from my perspective, and you'll enjoy using it sparingly for a long time on eggs, cheese, pizza (oh, pro-tip; put on toaster pizzas from the supermarket for great added zing), etc. Worth it.
