BEFORE YOU BUY & INSTALL - READ HERE
There are a lot of reviews with people frying/burning their cables/motherboards. Don't do the same.*This cable is for a VDG port* - IMPORTANT!!!This port is specifically found on older gigabyte boards (and a few others, if I'm not mistaken). If you plug this into anything else, YOU WILL FRY YOUR COMPONENTS! Double check your motherboard manual, you can find the exact type of ports you are working with. Make sure that this is the right cable for you! When you plug the cable in, check that the orientation is correct - find the arrow on the cable, and reference the image given on the product page. This Adapter works perfectly fine, don't make the same mistake as half of the reviewers on here.

Gigabyte H370
Does exactly what it’s meant for and bonus points for including male housing just in case, which was perfect for me to link all my daisy chained fans and cpu together to one vdg (rgb) header.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY
It almost burned my wires or possibly my PC.I got lucky I caught it but you might not be,it got really hot and it was to the point it burned my fingers.I got lucky that I even noticed it and got even luckier I pliers were right there that I was able to quickly rip off the wire before it started melting thru the other wires.I had seen other reviews with the same issue and just figured they must've done something wrong but that wasn't the case the wire itself literally starts getting got even when you only have it plugged into the controller and haven't plugged it into any fans yet.I tested it with a NZXT,Cooler master, 2 different corsair and a Thermaltake controller. It did it with all of them so this wire WILL burn or mess up your PC to the point it'll cost you a lot more money.

Perfect for connecting an ARGB connection to a VDG one (or vice-versa)
So I ordered a custom built gaming pc from CyberPowerPC, and when it got here, I was discouraged to find that the case lighting was connected to the case's reset switch instead of wired to the board. When I checked the case's LED control board, I found that it was an addressable board, but the connector that should be wired to the motherboard was a 3 pin VDG (unused), while my motherboard is an Asus X490-Plus WiFi that uses the 3 pin ARGB (VD-G) connectors. This cable let me remove the reset button wire from the led control board, and let me wire my motherboard's ARGB connector directly to the case led controller's VDG connector, and now the Asus Aura software properly controls the case along with the motherboard.

Works as intended, no melted cables
I was scared seeing all the melted cable reviews but the top review as of writing this one is correct. The cable does work when connected properly and used with a gigabyte aorus motherboard that has a vdg connector instead of the standard Argb. This cable is NOT for MSI boards or others I've seen in the reviews and it is also NOT reversible it has to be plugged as the image in the product gallery specifies or as your mobo's manual says. Finally I have a x470 aorus ultra gaming board and it has a jumper next to the vdg connector to specify if 5V or 12V are going to be delivered thru the vdg connector, make sure to put the jumper in the 5V position if not melted cable or possibly dead mobo. Hope this helps anyone scared of the burning cables reviews.

Good cable to convert 3 pin gigabyte to Argb 3 pin
This product is good. I have read most the reviews and can’t figure out why no one has said that the arrow on the connector should go to the V. If you connect it any other way it won’t work. Hopefully this will clear up the confusion.

READ THIS; DO NOT BLOW UP YOUR PC
This cable is DIRECIONAL but not labeled. If you plug it in backwards it WILL create a dangerous short circuit. Be careful. I caught mine in time and got it flipped around but you have to watch out.
