Really good product!
So I decided to go for the Nylon non-furry version of this and I like it. It fits well with my Zoom H4n Pro (2016 version). I think it gives a more professional style compared to a regular deadcat windscreen. The product doesn't feel cheap at all. It helps out a lot against windy conditions with this unit. There is a huge difference. I can't say it's a full cure to strong wind, but it does help a lot, like I said. The windscreen has a lot of space inside after you put it on, so you can put something like a piece of soft cloth in there to make it every better. I did that and saw an improvement without losing much quality. This thing also fits regular sized handheld microphones and it helps them as well. It can get in the way of the 3.5mm external mic port on the back of the H4n, but a quick adjusting fixes that, so no biggie. Is it better than the deadcat version? I can't tell because I haven't tested both. I will probably do it in the future. I added a photo so you can see how it fits. Definitely a great buy, I would get this again.

Works great with my Tascam DR-100 Mk III
Works great with my Tascam DR-100 Mk III. I have lots of microphones and lots of high end noise reduction. My normal Sennheiser mic rig cost thousands considering mics, suspensions, blimps, and wind shielding. I bought the DR-100 Mk III with no intention of ever using the built-in mics. That changed last week when I decided to do a personal project, walking a parade route alongside an 86 year old aunt. I was operating a gimbal stabilized camera with no opportunity for a camera mounted mic, and I decided to wear the Tascam on a lanyard around my neck, using the Tascam's built-in omni mics to pickup ambience. The MOVO WST-R80 worked great. The day of the parade turned out to be very windy with a weather system passing through. I was concerned that the MOVO cover itself would cause mechanical noise because it was dangling from the lanyard and the inside of the MOVO was in direct contact with the Tascam's omni mics. My hands were occupied with the camera gimbal so there was nothing I could do to control the sway of the Tascam as I walked the parade route beside my aunt's car. The choice between the furry version of this windshield and this nylon covered version was a coin toss. I was extremely pleased with this purchase. It did great, even when I was testing by deliberately exposing the Tascam DR-100 Mk III to wind.

Love the built but kind of bulky...but I still love it
I just bought a Zoom H4 Pro. I really like the built to this windscreen. I looks and feel of this item. worth well spent money. The only thing I have to complain about and it is small. The plastic on the foam smudges on the Zoom top microphone. At first look, I thought it was scratching the Zoom recorder. To my relief I just had to wiped the black marks off. Other than that , I love it. Thanks

Great for run and gun V.O.
Absolute game-changer for me working as a video journalist. I popped this puppy on my H4N pro and now I can record a quality V.O. on the fly. I hop into a closet, a car, duck under a blanket, and I am amazed at how well it has helped with wind cancelation and those annoying breathy "huffs" between sentences.Be careful with the internal foam though. It is a snug fit on the H4N and you will rip off some foam if you rip it on and off quickly and frequently.

Works very well in high winds
I tried this with my Tascam DR-40 and I can tell you that it fits well. It is very snuggle but that is because it has to seal well around the recorder. I have tried it on a very high wind and it makes a huge difference. Do not expect to isolate the wind 100% but it attenuates it a lot. On a high wind with this you can clearly hear one that talks at about 1 foot distance from the microphone. Without the windscreen you can hear only the wind, that actually saturates the microphone, and not a single word from the person. In my opinion this works really well. A very good addition for my Tascam DR-40. Thank you MOVO.

Pretty good windscreen!
First real test of this item was to record the takeoff of a Chinook CH-47 helicopter. The Chinook was about 100 yards from where I set my recorder up with the MOVO WST R30 fitted over the microphones. There was already a 13-15 mph wind, and add the rotor wash from the Chinook into that! Well, the MOVO didn't filter all of it out, but I'd say a good 90%, and what got through was pretty minor. This is definitely a good buy for the money!

sony pcm d100
while this wind jammer fits my sony pcm d100, it drastically alters the sounds. i was recording the waves on the shore and it was not that windy. so i decided to record with and without it. the difference was painfully obvious. the highs were significantly muffled. so much crispiness was lost. especially when hearing the fizzy effervescence of the bubbles surfacing after the wave crashes on the shore. it also doesn't do much by itself in terms of mitigating wind and the clipping that ensues. i've found the dead cat from rycote alone to be a better option.
