Perfect Dark Zero Original Soundtrack

This album, comprised almost entirely of Techno/Electronic and Rock instrumental tunes with some slight Hip-Hop leanings here and there, fits the tone of the game in question incredibly well and is unquestionably one of the best videogame soundtracks to be released in recent years. Even though this is a videogame soundtrack, it rarely sounds "gamey" to me. If I hadn't known it was a videogame soundtrack, I would think it was quite a good electronic album in its own right and it fits well for general listening. This is an easy fallback choice for me when I just want to listen to some great electronic music. While it's not quite as good as the absolutely stellar soundtrack that was produced for the original Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64, this still shines quite brightly on its own in a world where videogame soundtracks are finally being recognized for their quality and being sold in stores.Favorite tracks - River Extraction (Riverchase), Temple Surveillance (Main Theme), Trinity Escape (Main Theme), Limelight

Really good soundtrack, now I need the original soundtrack for the N64 game as well. Only complaint is that the song Giltter Girl (Evil Side) by Morrison Poe is edited due to dropping F bombs. Odd considering the game is indeed rated M for 17 year olds. But whatever, it aint a deal breaker for me.

Favorite tracks are Limelight, River Escape, Rooftop Rescue. Excellent soundtrack to an average game.

After Perfect Dark from Rare on the N64, I was expecting a much better soundtrack than what this is, however Rare did well anyway.

David Clynick does a nice job with catching the mood of this album. A very dark album indeed. Get a nice variety of lounge, techno, rock, and various other beats. Nice! Don't need to play the game to enjoy the album, but as soon as you can get your hands on a 360 check out the game.

WHILE THE GAME ITSELF RECIEVED MIXED REVIEWS, THE SOUNDTRACK IS VERY WELL DONE. TRACK #3 (COMBAT ARENA) SOUNDS LIKE ALIEN CONFLICT FROM THE ORIGINAL GAME IN SOME PARTS. THIS IS A MUST BUY FOR ANY WHO HAS PLAYED EITHER THE ORIGINAL OR THIS ONE.

This mix of high adrenaline and techno music is a lot of fun to listen to. The 360 has some good music so far, I hope they keep it up!

Almost every song is awesome on this CD. Techno sound to it, its Great!
