Absolute favorite nail files
I will never go without them again. They are a holy grail item for me. I do not use them to buff my nails, I use them as a regular nail file. They make the tips of your nails shiny so I can confirm it does work as a buffer. But my nails are thin enough, I don't want to take more off the top. They are HG status because this is the only way I can get my nails long. It prevents micro tears and snags that normal files or clippers leave behind. If you have thin peeling or brittle nails, try these as a finishing sort of file. I have also shaped with them but it takes a while if you have a lot of nail to work through. I love the multi pack and keep them everywhere. Purse, car, bathroom, living room.I originally bought them in 2021 and have only had one break on me so far (my fault for dropping it on concrete). The rest still look and work like new.

💞 These are great nail files 💞
Great nail files! Think of them as an emery board with a rough side and a fine side. The black ones are the rough files and the white ones are the fine files. And they work great. I can even smooth out the hangnails! I also noticed that when I file my fingernails, it not only files the nail but it buffs them to a shine, the nail edges shine to a sparkle, so weird, 😂.They can also be used to buff and shine the nail plates so you look like you have clear nail polish on. Imagine that, a glass nail file that makes your nails sparkle like diamonds. 💍I have them all over the house and in the car. They come in individual protective cases, if you handle them carefully they should last you a long time. These would make great stocking stuffers at Christmas time! I would give a black and a white one to each recipient. 😉

Amazing!
I am a retired, blue-collar male who has abused my fingernails as long as I can remember. I recently purchased a nail clipper kit that included a similar file and was so impressed that I wanted more. These fit the bill perfectly, my nails now look incredible all the time. fast and easy! I recommend these to anyone who wants nice looking nails.

Small convenient size &Works great and as intended.
To be honest I originally purchased these to be used in hobby crafts. But to test to see how well they worked, I did it on one nail. Then I ended up doin every nail after the results. It is capable of filing down with moderate pressure. If too much pressure is used you will get abrasion marks. It’s difficult to tell which is coarser and which is higher grit. But assuming it’s the same as the other ones out most state that the tinted is coarse and the clear is fine... however I strongly disagree, upon visual inspection and under magnification, the black tinted one is finer grit, meaning it’s the polishing file however both do leave a polished finish. As for hobby use, as I know a lot of glass files have gained popularity with model building, especially gunpla. They’re great for removing seam lines and nub marks. I wouldn’t recommend it on sanding down big nubs as it might take awhile, so use other tools to get nubs as small and clean as possible. But it will leave a good above semi gloss finish.

I was skeptical
I can't believe I bought 8 of these for about $1 each. These are amazing! This is my first time ever using crystal nail files, I usually use a metal one. I bought a more expensive one (G.Liane) that cost $7 for a single file and I actually like these ones better, so I'm probably going to return the GLiane (which doesn't buff). I was very skeptical at first about how well it would buff the nails to a shine, but it works surprisingly well. The nails look wet! A 4000-grit buffer block still does a slightly better job, but those things wear out and need to be replaced. Unless you inspect the nails closely while holding your hand about 6 inches from your face, you can't really tell the difference. I like this better than the metal files for sure. I'm going to keep one for primary use, one in my toiletry bag for travel, and one as a backup in case one breaks. I plan to give away the other 5 as gifts/presents.As a test, I set the stopwatch on my phone and timed how long it took to file and buff one of my nails. It took 3 minutes to file off 2 weeks of growth (about 1/16th inch) and buff it. If you look at the image of the file full of nail dust/particles, that was about halfway through the filing. I simply blew on the file to clean it off. About 99% of the dust was removed with a single breath. I held it under running water for about 2 seconds which cleaned it completely and I let it sit to air dry for a few minutes before putting it away since tiny water droplets can get stuck in the microscopic grooves. If I make it a habit to spend about 10-15 seconds filing each nail every morning (about 2 minutes in total) I'll probably never have to trim my nails again!

Files are nice, but not the cases
The files are very nice, but the cases that I received won't open without using something to pry the lid off. I posed a question about this and received one helpful answer (thanks!) and two sarcastic ones. So evidently this is something new. For the cases I received, you can squeeze and pull as hard as you like in any direction, and the lid won't come off.
