Siemens-Schuckert Aircraft of WWI: A Centennial Perspective on Great War Airplanes (Great War Aviation Centennial Series)

Another in the series by Mr. Herris, who demonstrates the value in focusing on the airplane manufacturers in aviation history. Photos are excellent, compromised to a degree by Amazon's practice of using cheaper paper which blurs the images to an extent. But content is excellent, with attention to Siemens' industrial history as well as the aircraft, from the "Giants" to the tubby little interceptors. There are an abundance of colored profiles, which I enjoy. If you enjoy WW1 aviation, you will like this book.

A good treatment of a relatively small WWI aircraft company. I was impressed with the drawings as well as many photos that I had not seen. For a modeller, books of this nature help narrow down your choices for a subject. I personally enjoyed it for what it is.

Copious company and manufacturing history; listing all known aircraft variations built by Siemens-Schuckert and includes very detailed specifications of each type. Superb artwork! Jack obviously has access to rare collections of WW1 aviation history, and pulls it together into works of art!
