Once you have started writing with ultra-fine tipped pens, the regular size tips seem bulky and lessen the legibility of handwriting, especially if you write with small characters. For me the 0.4mm is about perfect. I tried the 0.25mm tips, but it was so fine it scratched along the surface of the paper instead of flowing smoothly across it-which of course would not be a problem if it was used slowly and with deliberation like calligraphy or line art. But for taking swift notes or speed writing in an exam setting the 0.25mm was just too much of a good thing.

These write quite nicely and have the super fine point that I love! Glad I got a whole box!

they work flawlessly

These pens write fabulously. They hold up well. I'm a teacher and use these for grading, writing hall passes, etc. I love them.

Some of the pens in the box scratch the paper when writing. Others have dried out, causing the rollerballs to stick! Not worth the money!
