Digital Energy 9.6v RC Battery Charger with 2 Battery Packs

I purchased this combo because it was a lot less than buying individual items. The charger worked perfectly, and the batteries took a full charge over two nights. The Radio Control Car batteries were for the Lionel plastic wireless "Polar Express" toy train. The choice was six "C" cells per session or the rechargeable 9.6v battery pack. Unfortunately, Lionel's engineers didn't allow for the plastic film on these batteries, so I took the Tender (coal car) apart and cut out part of the battery space with an oscillating cutter. Now they fit, and the train will run for long sessions, with a spare battery fully charged standing by.However, to make the batteries fit the tender, I had to modify it. One of the comments on the review has the full instructions for doing the mod.

Couldn't wait till the batteries came and they were worth the wait. I have a r.c. dune buggy that I use to wear my 3 y.o.German Shep out with and my old batt went kaput a while back. Had problems finding one at a local store. Got online and ordered them. Should have done that from the beginning.

I'm disappointed in this product. The batteries don't last very long which is a bummer. And the charger doesn't seem to have an auto shut off... the light doesn't go off after the recommended charging time so I'm not sure if it's still charging or not. I will be returning this to Amazon and buying another, more expensive brand.

For the price it is a pretty good set, 2 batteries plus a charger. It is a pretty standard size for a lot of R/C cars and has a decent run time. The charger is a little slow and also doubles as the battery holder while charging. With the batter sitting in the holder slot and the cable attached to the charging port it, it does seem like a lot of weight for a standard wall mount plug to handle. But my sockets seem to hold up with all the weight still.I used these batteries in a Radioshack X-Mods R/C, Fast Lane R/C, an off brand Costco R/C and they all got around the same run time as the OEM battery packs. The only thing that takes a star away is the charger design being a little bulky and putting more stress on an outlet than I would like. I now use the charger on a table with a power strip and the battery sitting on the table instead of the battery slot the charger has built in.

I got this for an R/C motor boat and it worked great. It's nice getting 2 batteries with a charger because it gives the user a lot of time to play. The batteries held a good charge and powered my motor boat for a long time. I'm glad that the batteries don't just die when they are exhausted. If I noticed my boat slowing down I'd still have plenty of power to steer it back to shore so I could put a fresh battery in it.

I ordered this to work in my son's Polar Express train. I thought 2 batteries would be great. One in the train and one back up battery charging.The photo, as you can see, clearly shows 2 batteries and a charger. The title clearly says, "True Energy 9.6v RC Battery Charger with 2 Battery Packs". The description even mentions 2 batteries! What I received was a package that had the charger, but only 1 battery. The package wasn't missing the second battery, because the package I received wasn't designed to hold two batteries.I paid $27.00 for 2 batteries and charger and was sent 1 battery and a charger. I had seen other complaints about this product only containing 1 battery, but I assumed that Amazon had corrected the issues. I did call amazon and they did refund my full amount of money, but I had to return the item within 30 days. I will never by any more products from True Energy ever again!!!!!!

I don't know if the price point was good but we use them in my sons John Deere Ertl RC tractor. They are not as powerful, fast or last as long as the original battery. they do he job which is important for my 3 y/o but as a father they should be as good or better than the original battery. calling batteries plus, they did not carry these in stock and said that they would have to make them. so price wise, I'm guessing its not bad.

I purchased a RC Car from the Goodwill for $8.00, thankfully it still had a battery in it so I could compare and purchased the combo pack with and extra battery and it works great!! my granddaughter is so excited it cost me a total of 45.00 for a car and battery that would have cost over $100.00 at the store! I will purchase from this seller again if they have the product I need.
