LG TONE Flex HBS-XL7 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset - Black (Renewed)

The last LG headset I had was the HBS-780. I used it every day, but it recently started to restart itself every five minutes no matter what I did. So I started to hunt for a new neckband headset. I tried a couple cheaper options I could get locally, but I was greatly disappointed because they didn't do what the LG headset did. So I took to the internet and proceeded to over-research, over-analyze, and over-compare, and I finally landed on these. I was hesitant to buy a pair of headphones that were this expensive, but I spent almost $300 on a smart watch and I use that every day, and this particular headset has a dedicated Google assistant button. Got them in the mail, pulled them out, charged them (on the same charger as my phone, might I add) and hooked them up. I am in LOVE. They are so comfortable. I fell asleep with them on twice because I literally just forgot they were on. They are shaped just perfectly to hug your neck and collarbone so they don't stick out anywhere. The earbuds are on a retractable cable, which is a bit finicky occasionally but it works well and is super easy to use. The buttons are responsive, the range is pretty good, the sound is great (I don't listen to music much on them right now but I have tested it) and they're overall a great purchase. I use them every day. They read me my notifications, and I can reply to them with the Google assistant button. I am overall incredibly happy with this purchase!!

I initially ordered from this company. I had a bad experience with my initial order. I gave them a second chance. The second order was late, and it was the delivery company that was at error. Ontrac, was not on track. They postponed my delivery and it was frustrating. Other than that, the second item came in was very nice. I am very satisfied and I am glad I gave them a second chance. You may want to check on your delivery company as they were not great and they made the deliver at 8 or 9pm at night. If I had not noticed it, I would have had this package out front till morning. Thank you for redeeming yourselves.

In comparison to my older LG HBS820S, this one has better audio quality, it's more resistant and finally LG changed the voice notification behavior. Now for any notification, instead of completely interrupt the audio to bug me with whatever notification the earphone wanna tell me, it just lower the music/call volume. It sounds obvious but I was not there since many years, now finally LG changed it. There is no noise canceling capability on this earphone, which is expected for these type of earphones. The battery last aprox 60% (about 5-6h of constant playing) in comparison to what was used to last on the LG HBS820S (easily more than 8h straight), but in exchange, it completely charges in aprox 30 min, where the previous one was used to charge in around 2h+. It has built-in Good Assistant, what becomes a great feature for Android users. The turn on/off became fuzzy as well as the pairing mode. Even reading the user guide, it's not clear how to connect it to devices. The mechanics now are less efficient as you have to wait 2 sec holding the power button to turn it ON, and 4 sec to turn it OFF, while on the previous model it was a switch. I prefer a lot more the switch style. Finally, this model is very flexible, you can literally bend it until it becomes completely straight and it won't break, they did a good job on this, however it came with a price: The necklace now doesn't exactly remains on a perfect alignment/balance on your neck anymore, as the weight now is distributed along the whole necklace, instead of focused on the edges like the previous model had. In this way, after a while running, it simply falls from your neck unless you have them plugged in your ears. Also, if you lay down using it, once you stand up it won't be on your neck anymore due to its distributed weight and higher flexibility. The design is more elegant and fits nicely to social outfits, like working Shirts. I'm a big fan of necklace earphones, I use them for more than 10 years, always having LG brand. So far I'm enjoying and recommend the purchase in case you believe you can get used to the new mechanics.

Sound quality seems very good.Not sure how noise cancellation is working on the other end yet. Keep forgetting to ask others.I was disappointed that at 2nd charging the device had a shorter life. But.......I am hoping that this is an operator error thing -- so don't judge quickly on this comment.

This item is labeled "Renewed" and "Product works and looks like new." It is anything but. First, it does not turn on. I charged it for a while, unplugged the charging cable, and held the power button down. It did not blink any LEDs or make a sound. I inspected it and realized there was a crack on the body by the charging port, right where the plastic meets the rubber. On the underside of that part it's missing the rubber plug and a screw is visible. The left earbud was full of earwax, which is really gross. Both earbuds are torn where the cable starts, and the wires are visible.Probably the last time I try buying a refurb from Amazon. 0/10 experience.

These are very good headphones! They are comfortable. Sound quality is good, too. Wish the battery lasted longer, but other than that, they are perfect for me!

The overall function of the device was very good, but you always take a chance with refurbished items. The battery held an 80% charge at first (as advertised), but after only a month and a half would no longer take a charge, and so I returned them for a full refund. I might have better luck with another pair, but why take the chance.
