Affordable, quality, space saver
The bed arrived on time, in one long thin box. It could have been carried alone but was light with help. Easy to follow assembly directions. Everything you need to put it together was included, along with a few spare pieces just in case you misplace one. My 12 year old and I were able to assemble it in under 2hrs, taking our time. The bed is light weight, very sturdy, doesn't wobble or squeak. Perfect for our youngest (5years). It frees up lots of floor space and creates a little "fort" area that she loves. The color is just a neutral gray, not silver. My only dislikes are that the bed rails could be a bit taller and I wish the ladder could be placed at either end. The price was unbeatable at $80 +10% off coupon.

Great junior loft bed for a great price
This bed is pretty awesome for the price. I originally wanted a wooden junior loft bed with drawers/storage underneath, but just couldn't bring myself to pay for one of those when this one was so much cheaper.First off, my four-year-old loves it. He loves being "tall like mommy and daddy" when he's in his bed, and he spends a ton of time in his "clubhouse" underneath. We've put a bean bag, a clip-on lamp and a toybox under there, and it's where he and my husband sit to read a book before bed every night. He can't quite stand up underneath it, but there's still plenty of room for him to play. My husband and I can both fit under there pretty comfortably, too.The bed itself is good quality. I thought the silver might look cheap, but it actually looks really nice and doesn't clash with the wooden furniture in his room. It seems sturdy enough and we haven't had any issues with squeaking or any of the pieces loosening. The rungs of the ladder do seem a bit uncomfortable to me when I'm changing the sheets, but my son hasn't had any complaints and doesn't even seem to notice. The bed is recommended for ages six and up, but as long as your kid can safely climb a ladder and won't flop himself over the rails and out of bed at night, there's really no reason it can't be used by younger children. It wasn't too difficult to put together (took about an hour), although my husband did mention that some of the steps in the instructions are in the wrong order. He noticed it right away and worked around it, so we didn't have any issues with having to force pieces together like some other reviewers. We bought a six-inch mattress to go with it from Amazon and it fit perfectly. Zinus Sleep Master 6 Inch Spring Mattress, Twin I originally wanted a bit thicker of a mattress, but the six-inch is recommended by the manufacturer and it ensures that there's still plenty of safety railing available to keep him from falling out.I do have a couple of minor complaints that weren't even worth removing a star for. First of all, there's a huge warning sticker stuck to the headboard, which is pretty ugly. Considering how hard the tiny letter stickers (the ones that label all the pieces for assembly) were to get off, though, I haven't even attempted to remove it. Some Goo Gone would probably work if you really hate it and have a ton of patience. Secondly, due to the safety railings on the bed, it's almost impossible to get it made up neatly - there are always bits of sheet and comforter sticking up everywhere. (That's not so much a failure of this bed so much as loft beds in general, though, so no big deal.) My son cares about neither of these things; they're purely cosmetic issues for me.Overall, we're super happy with this bed, especially for the price, and we love the extra space it gives him underneath. While I was originally a bit skeptical about buying a metal bed over a wooden one, it ended up being the perfect purchase (minus that pesky sticker!). Five stars!

assembly went smoothly and it seems nice and sturdy
We bought this for my almost 5 year old and 2 year old daughters. We are making it a low profile bunk with the bottom mattress currently just on the floor. We may add a box spring to lift it up slightly and I still think there will be plenty of head room. My oldest has slept in it the last few nights and loves it! It took my husband maybe 1 1/2 hrs to put together by himself. He only had an issue with one of the screws that wouldn’t fit in correctly as the holes were not lined up right. Other than that minor issue, assembly went smoothly and it seems nice and sturdy! It doesn’t make any squeaky noises. The ladder is a bit rough on the feet so we may try to add something to soften it up a bit if my daughter starts to complain. She doesn’t seem bothered by it right now. With the price being so low I didn’t know what to expect with the quality, but as of right now it seems great! We put the bottom mattress in an L shape to give more room for storage underneath. When my 2yr old gets a bit bigger we may purchase another one for the room because I can already see there will be a fight for the top!

This was a great purchase and I actually purchased two of them (one for each of my children's rooms). They're high enough to allow storage and play underneath, but not so high as to cause me to have to replace ceiling fans with standard light fixtures. Although, if you have low ceilings, any bunk or loft bed probably will interfere with ceiling fans that are in the same room, so consider this if you haven't already. As far as other reviews go in reguards to the quality or ease of assembly: The quality absoulty amazing, especially for the price being paid. For refrence, I paid $99.99 each for mine at the time. At the time I write this review, the same bed frame, in the same silver color is currently prices at $135.00 each. Some people complain about bolts not lining up making it impossible to assembly correctly. To these people: You've assembled it wrong....trust me.The first one I put together actually went smoother than the 2nd one, becuase I followed the instructions slowly and methodically on the first one, and took the approach of being an expert on the 2nd one. As far as alignment goes...I guess I take it for granted that people SHOULD LOGICALLY KNOW that when you're assembling anything, especially a rigid structure, that has multiple points of attachment for assembly, that you LEAVE EACH BOLT LOOSE until you get each bolt started, then and only then do you start to tighten.I'd be willing to be in 100% of the cases where people complained about alignment issues, they had already tightend the blue blazes out of all other preceeding bolts without concern for alighment and then were outrage and the seemingly poor quality of the parts when they magically couldn't get the last few bolts to align. In the end, I spend a leasurly afternoon assembling these beds using only the included tools. The only thing I would suggest and/or change would be to add some dense fome pipe insulation to the rungs of the latter (think of a skinny pool noodle cut lengthwise and placed on the rungs). The bars on the ladders seem to be narrow enough that the kids have each complained (once) that the ladder is uncomfortable on their bare feet.Overall, it's an excellent and affordable product!
