Rothco Gen III Level II Underwear Bottoms

Great option for cold weather adventures!
The ECWS tops and bottoms offer amazing performance at a good price. I have used these bottoms to layer under fleece pants and hard shell bibs or breathable waders in temperatures down to -12 F. When appropriately layered, they are unbeatable in the duck blind or on stand in the winter. As a tall person, I like that the sizing covers long legs and long legs without any gaps around the waist, even when bending over. In addition to be warming, they are durable and suitable for outdoor adventures. I took two top/bottom sets to Alaska for a two-week rafting trip this summer and I was comfortable, even when it rained for four days. 10/10. But with confidence…and buy the zip top while you are at it.

Thermal weaves
These are very comfortable and I wear them all the time. Keeps me warm this winter, and so far they are holding up well. I am 6 feet tall, and around 230 pounds.....I ordered large. Fit just right.

Very warm
I hiked for 14.4 miles over the top of Mt. Leconte and onto the Appalachian Trail in which half of the day snowed last weekend and was very warm. In fact, all I wore was the ECWCS silkweight pants (the top didn't come in time because of a mix up), the ECWCS level II thermal top and bottom, pants and a long sleeve shirt and a light jacket and a raincoat and pants to keep me dry. I was sweating and welcoming the cold snow blowing on my face. I originally started hiking with a thick jacket and after about 30 minutes took that off and just wore my shirt, pants and thermals for most of the day. I only put my light jacket and rain clothes on when it started snowing and I can honestly say that I could have probably even went without the light jacket because these thermals do an outstanding job of keeping you warm when it's cold. I believe the temperature was around 28. I bought a lot of equipment for this hike and I can honestly say this was one of the things I was most glad I bought right next to my Vasque breeze boots, Darn tough full cushion hiking socks, high sierra 45L pack, and my last minute purchase of Kahtoola microspike crampons (My favorite item, because while others were slipping on ice I could walk across with the confidence that I wasn't going to fall and hurt myself)

These run true to size. They're warm, thick and durable.
I bought these for my daughter, who is in the military. She is stationed where it hits single digits. She loves them along with the top, which comes with thumb holes.Someone originally told me they run big, so order one size smaller. We ultimately had to return them for the size which was true to size. That return was my fault for listening to Simone else other then the site. These run true to size. They're warm, thick and durable. Well worth the purchase.

Good stuff
These are an excellent second layer above some next to skin poly bottoms. They are impressively warm and will wick well with the material and waffle. The bad part is the fit, that's the minus 1 star. The sizing chart is wrong in my opinion and you need a size smaller than you'd think. Although I did not find that to be the case for the top. These even when fitting right in the thigh, butt, and more or less waist are (for my XL) way way too tall. I'm 6'4" and I think my XL's (which I got in exchange for an XXL because the XXL was the right waist on the chart but was like stepping into a trash bag in reality) are probably about 2-4 inches too long in the rise and almost 6 or more inches too long in the inseam. I just fold the extra material up in the leg beneath the knee. There isn't a good way to get rid of the excessive rise because any fold seems to come out with the weight of the crotch. These are way too thick and roomy in the crotch. Unless of course you have a sack the size of a grape fruit. All in all I am please with the product and will use them over a L1, I just thought it was fair to mention sizing and comfort is a little lacking it seems.

Very warm and well made
Bought these to add to my "cold weather Collection" and they did not disappoint. They are soft and very warm. A bit long in the leg for me but nothing outrageous. Do not wear these for any weather over 25 degrees F or you will find yourself sweating very profusely, but otherwse they will keep you warm and dry down to single digits (as low as I have gone so far).
