Complex and powerful
For those that left reviews saying these are confusing to set up, they are very very right. These are extremely powerful, with a ton of options. I'm a 35+ year network engineer, I know a little about routers and WiFi... And it took me a couple days to get these doing what I wanted.I ended up trying the default config, which failed to get an IP address from my provider (Comcast). Then I started advanced setup, and using the command interface from the web page to see what the embedded OS on the devices was doing. Each device can be individually configured as a router/Wi-Fi AP. The confusing part comes when the devices reset themselves... Sometimes you activate a feature (like activating the AP) and the device decides only the primary (master) side can do that so it switches the mode on you. Then you reset to secondary (slave) mode, and it invisibly resets the IP address of the device to it's default... Which is a problem if you're accessing it through it's embedded web page. One thing to be aware of is that the firmware does not respect the master / slave dip switch. It always defaults to "master". So when you fist set it up, the "slave" will be set to "master" on the firmware web page, and you have to fix that. Resetting certain things will flip that mode, and resetting to factory defaults will flip it to "master" as well. So, you'll have to double-check what the dip switch is set to AND what the firmware thinks it is.When you get done reverse engineering the capabilities and settings this thing has, it's VERY powerful. I've got it set up now, and I'm very happy with it

Poor documentation and tech support
To start, I am an IT professional and I know much more than the basics of my home router. I am not a Network Engineer, but might need to be if I ever get another one of these bridges.I wanted to extend my network into a steel sided barn about 200 ft from my house. This product looks like it would complete the need. My home network runs on IP addresses 192.168.0.x with well over 20 different items connected at a time and I wanted my main router to control all the PI addressing. What I liked about the product was the integrated mounting system that comes standard with the product. What I did't like was the tech support and documentation. When the product arrived, before even installing them outside, I tried to get the two receivers to talk to each other. After 3 hours of attempts, I gave up and contacted the KuWFi support team via Amazon. What I received was the same information that is available on the Amazon produt page - a one page PDF with a few pictures. There are so many options available in the software that are not described anywhere on the single page document. The web configuration software has some field specific help text, but this does not help to tie together what happens when option one and five are turned on. After recieving one note from the tech support, I sent a second note with a few more details on my configuration frustration. I received a cryptic note from them the next day that was no help at all. The second note had no advice on what to try next.I returned the product and will look for another solution. The product may work on other folks network, if they use the 192.168.255.x IP range. When I changed anything in the standard configuration, the receivers stopped providing feedback to the web configuration page. My advice, look for other companies that make bridges like these that provide good tech support and documentation.

works right out of the box
I am using these to send a internet to out buildings along a long lane about 3/4 mile . The master is at building 3 where the internet comes to and I have 6 slaves pointed back at it. The slaves are hooked to cheap wifi routers (linksys ac1000) that are the to the same ssid. they are linked back to the main router that passes out the IP address. as you travel from one end to the other the routers hand off the device to the next point.I did nothing more that slide the switch to slave and plug them in no setup required on the bridge.

Good quality and not too bad to set up
First, the instructions suck. It would have been better to have pictures of the steps to install than them attempting to try using English in the instructions. That is the reason for 4 stars. make sure to set your computer up to the same IP range as the default on the routers because that is how you get into the admin console on the device. Once that is done, logging in to the device is easy. The interface looks very similar to ASUS in the way the settings menus are.Make sure to set the little switch up for Master and Slave so they will talk to one another.Except for the instructions, these seem as fast or faster than the Ubiquity units I am replacing.Did I mention the Instructions suck and are nearly useless? The little pamphlet has one use, starting a campfire with.....

Used This With Starlink. Great!
My husband is the tech guy in our family, so am writing this review as a user of his wifi setup and my observation of his install experience. I observed very little swearing or frustration during his installation of this bridge, so I would say Perfect! We live in a rural area and use the new Starlink unit from Elon Musk (Thanks Elon!) We went from a speed from the local company of 12/2 to a speed of over 160/80 with the Starlink! We have several out buildings on the ranch and wanted internet access to each, so my husband used these KuWFI bridges to extend the service. They have worked amazingly well with no known issues, so far (about 30 days) and interfaced with our router and Starlink perfectly...no reduction in speed. We purchased 4 bridge units, so far, with plans to purchase more. So far so good!

Exceeded my expectations
I must agree that the instruction sheet that comes with this bridge is useless. Nevertheless, I hooked it up the way I hoped it would work, and it worked the first time. For what I wanted to do with it, it's plug and play. They also need to label which one is master and which one is slave. I am using it to control a HD PTZ in a remote location. It is located about 700 feet from the master. Superb performance with the same response as the same model PTZ hardwired to the router.

instructions are horrible
went online for more help, not much better. Couldn't connect to them with laptop, then reset one more time and connected! Got to where internet access was transmitted to slave, slave connected to laptop worked great - they're beside each other on table. I was trying to connect a wireless router to slave - no go. Didn't find any help online for that either. Next time I went to work with them I can't connect to either one directly, going through all the same steps - I wrote notes... Seems they intermittently just won't connect with laptop. Reset reset reset reset still nothing. Think I wasted that money. I'd love it if somebody could help me out. Bottom line, go with a set that have better directions and guarantee to work. I've had them for too long to return them - my mistake for not getting on it, I was really hoping they'd work eventually.

Working great
These work great. I use them from my house to a shop about 1km away and they are working perfectly so far. The only reason I give 4 stars is the instruction manual. Please for the sake of future customers, find someone that can read/write English to rewrite your manuals. They are less than useless now. A small amount of networking experience will be necessary to install these because the manuals are literally no help.

not sure who can have this thing set up right?
Bought this wifi bridge and try to get my wifi signal (or I can plug in Ethernet cable from router on source end) pass to my garage suite, which is about 15 ft space between the 2 houses. Calculate all distances in hose from router to wall, add about 50 ft. Make it total 65 ft. Plus some resistance from external siding material outside of the house. Read the specification on this bridge unit, it listed the max. bridge distance is 5 KM! I think for sure it will handle this kind of task easily.Well, plug in power to the unit, and try to configure this bridge …… I am not sure what to say, the instruction manual (actually just one sheet of letter size paper), there were some images of computer screen shots on the instruction, the size of the image is about 1", the word in the image less than 3/64" (or 1mm) height , I can't read it with a 10 times magnify glasses!! The instruction on the sheet didn't make much of sense. I know I am not the IT guy, but I am electrical / mechanical engineer, I do many technical stuffs at work and at home. I just can't figure out how to get this thing to set up….. After fighting for a while, I end up giving up on it, and pack the unit to its original box, and return it.I really don't know why the people who selling this unit doesn't spend little more time to write the proper instruction for set up. By looking at the unit itself, looks it is decent unit and made properly. So, I give it 2 stars, assuming if someone can set it up properly, and it may work well. But to me, if I couldn't even get it to set up, there is no value to me at all.
