Our outdoor feral cats LOVE THIS STUFF!
We have two indoor cats that love catnip, but were not too interested in the gall fruit, they played with it for maybe a minute. We have 7 feral cats outside, all have been trapped, nurtured, and have had their shots. Our outdoor feral cats LOVE THIS GALL FRUIT. they bite it, (it’s good for their teeth), they chew it, (again, good for their oral hygiene and teeth), they roll on it, rub it on their faces. They love it! So some cats do and some cats don’t. Those who say that it doesn’t work, and their cat doesn’t like it? It is just exactly that, they have a cat that doesn’t like it, not that the product is bad.

Best for the pouch cat toys, fruit are hard and fairly large for eating.
I ground one (more like pounded it) up in a mortar bowl to try it on a plate and the larger pieces I put inside a pouch raccoon or similar toy (two I have already). Note I tried to pound up a second and it wouldn’t break apart at all. Tried softening it in water and rinsed the bowl into the cat dry food and one cat loved that! Softening didn’t help. Several of my cats do respond including ones that aren’t much interested in catnip leaves. I grow my catnip but with all the rain in California right now it’s muddy and nearly picked out so I needed something to help my indoor cats not be too bored. The toys got some play, will see how long the smell keeps their interest! Thought breaking it might help not sure it did. I don’t see this as a Great deal cost wise, see photo on size with scale reference in inches behind the package. I decided to try this instead of it ground because it can be placed in a toy and discarded when no longer an interesting smell. The dried catnip no longer works on my cats and they do need a play stimulant. Also only half my cats like the catnip anyway even the fresh leaves. The ones who do respond to catnip love it, the others don’t care at all (it is by litter so obviously genetic as I have three different litters represented in my six cats).

Likely of sufficient quality
Honestly, we expected better. They don't seem to be that fresh. (Yes, we know they are dried):) They are likely of sufficient quality but not a go for us.

Good! Just supervise your cats and hold the fruit
Great just monitor your cats with them to prevent choking. I prefer to hold onto these balls while my cat rubs on them because he wants to eat them. It’s great for stimulation just beware that you have to be present anytime one of these is out. My cat that doesn’t react to catnip or silver vine reacts to this! They are durable my cat has tried chewing on them a number of times but nothing has broke.

The only thing my cat likes
My cat has never showed interest in catnip, valerian root, silvervine sticks, or any of the other common things that most cats love. But this gall fruit is amazing… he can’t get enough of it.

Cat crack
My kitties loved this stuff but me not so much. I was very concerned about choking Hazzard. Also a few of my kitties salivate A LOT and 2 had diarrhea the next day. I ended up crushing mine to put INSIDE their catnip toys

Major Hit With My Clowder!
This was my first time trying silvervine, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from Maks, Tobias and Lana, my three feline friends. They’ve all been offered catnip before, of course, and while Maks and Lana really liked it, Tobias could take it or leave it... But they ALL loved these dried silvervine fruits! I put one fruit in front of each of them, then stepped back and watched. After carefully sniffing the fruits, Lana plopped down on top of hers as though she needed to consider it, but wanted to make sure nobody else took it while she was passing judgment. The two boys, meanwhile, started out gently pushing their fruits with their paws, and rapidly progressed to smacking the little brown balls all over the room like they were playing hockey! They would periodically throw themselves on top of the fruits and roll around, grabbing it with their front paws and kicking vigorously at it with their back legs. Then back to hockey... Lana finally picked her fruit up in her jaws, carried it into the next room, and proceeded to rub her face all over it, seeming to really enjoy herself. After about 20 minutes all three cats seemed to lose interest, and walked away. However, throughout the day they would all periodically return and pretty much go through the same behaviors as before. So... I would say the dried silvervine fruit was a hit! The carefully sealed package contained a generous number of the little fruits (which can be put back in the sealable bag and re-offered later...), and I will have no hesitation in ordering these again since my clowder of cats enjoyed them so much... a lot of furry pleasure for a reasonable price! Recommended!

If your Cat Hates Catnip...
My cat does not like catnip. Put one of these out. She goes nuts. Very good product. I found some from 18 months ago and gave her one and she loved it.
