Assures that the garage door is closed at night
We keep Craftsman garage door monitor in our second story bedroom. There is no way to assure that our garage door is closed except by going into the garage or being outside. The monitor tells me that the door is closed without me going outside. It also alerts me that the door is up with a soft beeping sound that reminds me to shut the door.

Specific for a particular brand of garage door opener
Had to return. It was specific for a particular brand of garage door opener that we didn’t have. Don’t remember seeing that on the description but it may have been there.Delivery was timely and correct.

Works fine but Be aware of which instructions you read
The Instructions both with this unit and a you tube video I saw say to do a "learn" between this unit and the garage opener. This is not true if you have the Assurelink smartphone control kit. This is the kit sold separately that you need if your opener is not already Assurelink. I tried to link this with my opener (learn button) and it did not work. Then I see in the Assurelink kit instructions that to add an accessory like this you must use the learn button on the assurelink control wall panel (yes it also has a learn button). Note: I believe this craftsman assurelink and the LiftMaster Model 829LM Garage Door Monitor is the same thing.

When I got the monitor I couldn't get it to sync up when I used the garage door learn button. I tried it several times and it just wouldn't work. Then I tried the learn button on my wall control panel and it synced right up. Now it works great. Just remember to use the learn button on the wall control panel instead of the learn button on the garage door opener itself.

I was hoping this would come with a wall mount. The location is perfect to check door status, and best place would be on the wall.
